Ghana's long cherished dream of constructing a hydro-electric dam on the Black Volta at Bui came to fruition on Thursday when President John Dramani Mahama commissioned the final phase of the Dam.

He said in as much as the project will solve some of the country's energy problems, Ghanaians must not relax but work hard towards meeting the 2016 target of 5,000 megawatts.
The spokesperson for former President Kufuor, Frank Agyekum said the Former President is happy that the Mahama administration has been able to complete the project his administration started.
Mr Agyekum stressed the need for governments to continue projects started by their predecessors as this is the only way the country can develop.
