Barring any intervention by government, prices of some petroleum products will go up from March 1.
This is due to the deregulation of the petroleum sector under which prices are reviewed every fortnight.
According to a Petroleum Price Indicator on the website of the National Petroleum Authority, petrol price will go up by 4.58 percent while diesel will also inch up by 2.28 percent.
This means petrol which previously sold at 11 Cedis 33 pesewas per gallon will go for 11 Cedis 85 pesewas per gallon.
Diesel will however sell at 11 Cedis 19 pesewas per gallon. Meanwhile, the price of LPG will go down by 3.16 percent.
