Government has concluded negotiations with some major public universities to increase admission of eligible WASSCE candidates.
This will end the unfortunate situation where candidates are denied admission into universities though they qualify, as was the case last academic year.
Deputy Minister of Education, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, announced this at the launch of the 8th Ghana Higher Education Fair.
He said Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Cape Coast are two of the major universities which are in agreement with government to admit many more WASSCE students.
