In a video message to the ceremony, the Secretary-General said he accepted the award on behalf of all United Nations staff members, especially the team in the Department of Public Information.
He says thanks to their hard work, the United Nations Weibo account has more than 3 million followers.

Secretary-General Ban said he saw this in person during his online dialogue with Chinese citizens on Weibo last July, during which they asked questions about peacekeeping, human rights, political issues and more.
He says he's counting on China and its people to advance the UN campaign for progress.
