The death toll in the Kumasi building collapse has risen to three.
This follows the discovery of one of the tenants who was earlier declared missing.
The tragic incident occurred when large portions of a three storey-building situated at Krofrom, a suburb of Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, collapsed on Monday evening, due to a heavy downpour of rain trapping many people under the rubble.
The building houses over 100 residents but luckily, majority of the tenants were not in the building when the disaster struck.
Sampson Nyamekye of HelloFM in Kumasi, who rushed to the scene moments after the disaster, reported that 7 people were rescued whiles 5 others sustained various injuries.
Those rescued alive were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for emergency treatment on Monday night.
Rescue efforts continued into the wee hours of this morning and later intensified when dawn broke.
