The Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Koku Anyidoho has slammed the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Opuni Frimpong over what he termed his hypocrisy and silence over the attacks and seizure of state property by the New Patriotic Party’s (NPPs) Invincible Forces.
He is, therefore, challenging the renowned man of God to "remove his political NPP cassock", break his silence and condemn the attacks on the NDC supporters and the unlawful seizure of state property.
According to him, Rev. Opuni Frimpong exposed his ignorance by supporting the call for a new voters register prior the polls because he supported the NPP hence, the need for him to condemn the attacks.
He was speaking to Kwame Tutu host of Frontline on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm following the press conference held by the NDC to express their frustration and displeasure over the attacks on Thursday.
He reiterated that, the President, Nana Akufo-Addo has refused to call the invincible forces to order because he is personally financing and endorsing their activities.
He accused the NPP leader of being dishonest adding, ‘’we warned Ghanaians not to vote for Nana Addo because should they vote for him, there will be lawlessness and violence but, they refused to listen and now the invincible forces have started unleashing mayhem on Ghanaians. I also find it strange that the General Secretary of the Christian Council of Ghana, Rev. Opuni Frimpong has refused to condemn the attacks. I am shocked but it also exposes his hypocrisy. He ignorantly supported the call for a new register when he knew nothing about it all because of his allegiance to the NPP. He should remove his political party cassock and condemn the attacks and unlawful seizures. I challenge him to that. He should do it now,'' Anyidoho fumed.

Time changes indeed.koku now crying wolf.ooooooohh! poor you.I saw your faces on television and you people looked like orphans on television.you looked miserable peeves and sorrowful. The men of courage who talked and insult and dare anyone who challenge your orders.Mr purtophy who order the arrest of an innocent man because someone has taken photograph of NDC campaign cars now looking powerless.oooooh ndc you now see the power of the do called ordinary Ghanaian whom you abused left right centre.Aseidu nkethia you looke sorrowful on tv this short time of leaving power but big up because you have a long way to go,this is just the beginning.
So u know the clergy now?
Smoothness level. I would have thought that by now, Koku, having come to the realisation that attacks on helpless Ghanaian citizens with some of these victims losing their lives is not good, would lead a campaign to arrest ALL miscreants! But no, for Koku, some lives are more precious and worth preserving than others! Tanyigbe brother, shine your eyes!
Koku, I thought you've learned lessons by now and would therefore measure your talk. But you seems not to have learnt anything yet. Very soon, you will be at Asomdwee Park cry and nobody would be there to console you. Grow up Koku
This guy is graciously cursed
Koku, where were u in 2008 when NDC came to power. They did more than this including the seizure of e offices of NHIA,NYEP and a lot more which were e Npp initiated policies. What were e commence of Christian council, peace council and e Pentecostal council? Leave e Reverend Minister alone. We know u have started e propaganda and e accusations and we vote based this but e performance of Nana Addo.
When will this fooooolll called Anidoho learn some sense? Who should condemn what? Did you condemn the NDC foot soldiers in 2009? Did you see NPP people taking over toilets forcefully in 2001? The boys are just repearing what you Koku Anyidoho pushed your people to do in 2009.
Wat did your president mahama do about the let ma vote count demo and the attacks by the police? Rather wait for more beatings
This is exactly why the corrupt and insulting NDC lost the election by such a humiliating margin. The christian leaders taken down the drain by these empty upstarts like Koku have such a large following that it is only the NDC that will be soiled at the end.
