First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo says things are looking good for Ghana with President Akufo-Addo in charge.
She said the president “came to office with a lot of promises and he is working hard to achieve all of them” adding that “he has achieved quite a lot” since taking office.
Mrs. Akufo-Addo was speaking to officials of the Ghana Embassy in the People’s Republic of China.
She noted that with a determined and focused person like the President steering affairs of the country, there “is a lot of hope for Ghana and things are already looking good for Ghana.”
The First Lady urged the staff to project the good name of Ghana as well as seek knowledge and skills that can help develop Ghana.
“There is a lot to learn from China therefore those of you here should learn and bring the knowledge back home to improve the country”, she said.
She announced that the newly constructed mother and baby unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi facilitated by the Rebecca Foundation will be inaugurated by the close of this year and her “next stop is Korle Bu.”
Ghana’s Ambassador to China, Mr. Edward Boateng, assured the First Lady he and his staff will “not disappoint the president but work hard to bring more investment into the country as well as look at the well being of Ghanaians in China.”
The First Lady is in China with a group of women entrepreneurs, some members of the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI) and academics to explore investment opportunities for women businesses and investment for the people and government of Ghana.

NDC have their own definition for corruption and are singing it very hard but we the discerning listeners are not hearing it because we know and understand those composing that song. NDC, you cannot force corruption on us the masses. We also have eyes and can see corruption when it is perpetuated like president taking ford expedition from a contractor working for government. like a president branding buses with millions of Ghana cedis. We know what corruption is. An example of corruption is the persona of John Ford Mahama. Yes things are looking good now and it is a fact.
FIRST LADY, PLEASE STOP INSULTING US . WE ARE NOT DUMP AS YOU AND YOUR CRONIES MIGHT THINK . AS THE SAYING GOES , EVERYDAY FOR ***barred word*** MAN ONE DAY FOR MASTER. JUST KEEP ON "CHOPPING YOUR MONEY" YOUR TIME WILL COME . A WORD TO THE WISE IS ENOUGH .
bunch of sycophants.
Vexatious and irritating". Things are looking good indeed". I blame the millions of Ghanaians who defied the scorching sun- hours on end to queue and voted for what we are hearing today. Now the people should not dare come closer to them. Infact, this people (NPP) do not the respect, sensitivity and etiquettes for Ghanaians one bit. We are all witnessing the most corrupt political party in governance system in Ghana today; and yet blurringly toute to the whole world that things are looking good. God save Ghana.
Our elders say Asetena Pa Ma Awerefie" meaning "A Good Living Makes One Forget Soon". The miseries they were lamenting about have suddenly disappeared and all they see around them is roxy, comfort and luxuries; therefore they see poverty very far off.
Really ? Things are looking good ? How will things not look for you and your cronies when we are reeling heavily under such a massive corrupt administration. And when once vocal statesmen have suddenly lost their voices.
