Spokesman for the erstwhile Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC), Osaahene Major (Rtd) Kojo Boakye-Djan says Ghana is no longer safe for everyone.
He blames the security authorities for their inability to convict criminals which have led to others engaging in the nefarious act.
Speaking on the recent killing of investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale, Major Boakye-Djan (Rtd) noted that “There is a growing sense of impunity in the country. When these things happen, because we are unable to deal with the culprits, others are emboldened to do same.”
“The efforts of the police or the government or whoever is in charge, do not lead to criminal conviction and that is the worrying thing for me,” he said.
“J.B. Danquah-Adu, the MP, was killed in his home, and so far, nobody has been convicted for it. We are all not safe in the country. Why is it that we have not had a single criminal conviction for any of these things that are going on?” he said in an interview with Accra FM.

WHEN YOU KILLED A WHOLE PRESIDENT, WAS GHANA SAFE?
Anytime you talk about politics in Ghana, you rake old wounds so keep quiet and let us solve the problems you and your cabal of misfits bequeathed to Ghanaians. Many people disappeared (including your younger brother) because of JJ and your gang. You will answer to God the crimes you and JJ committed
I agreed with most of the writers views
This man knows no shame!! The impunity started from the day he and his selfish gang unleashed a criminal on Ghanaians in the name of a revolution and Hose Cleaning exercise. His cohort lived in Ghana and terrorised us for close to 20 years. Nobody talked about his misdeeds. The youth were led by deceit and today you sit here and tell us Ghana is not safe because of impunity. When you disregarded the military hierarchy and killed senior officers, asked Jnr. Officers to drill Snr Officers, was it not impunity you were sowing in the Ghanaian society. Who dare you talk about impunity? Shut the hell of your beak up. Osahene my foot.
The country is reaping what you sowed some years back. When you guys were instigating the junior soldiers to riot against their superiors. You haven't seen anything yet. Now you know the wisdom in democratic transition. Your fooolishhhhh act is paying off.
This 11diot has got mouth to talk. Talk is cheap in Ghana
your ***barred word*** revolution started the culture of impunity in this country and u were part of it, u tied people to the stakes and shot them what is worse than that? ***barred word***
Ghana was safe when you and your gang took over this country illegally in 1979, then in 1981, killed a lot of people, raped women, sold every shop item on the market, seized people's cars and houses and hard earned money and run away to stay in England. I think youhave lost your bearings.
Ghanaians must raise up and vote against the NPP come 2020 because of the murder of Ahemed Suale. most of the NPP Lawyers are not speaking like lawyers. they are not interested in the interest of the state but for their own selfship interest.
11DIOT, WAS GHANA SAFE WHEN WOMEN WERE STRIPED NAKE IN 1979? EVERY G.OAT IS TALKING NOW.
