A fatal accident which occurred at Amoma Nkwanta in the Kintampo South District of the Bono East Region has claimed about 60 lives.
Peace FM’s correspondent, Wiafe Akenteng reported that two buses with registration numbers, GT 5694 18 and GT 3916 17 coming from opposite directions crashed head-on in the early hours of Friday.
One of the buses branded VVIP veered into a ditch after the collision, and the other caught up in flames killing almost all on board. They both had over 50 passengers on board.
“One bus got burnt to ashes and almost all passengers on board are feared dead” Wiafe said on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo
Meanwhile, Superintendent Stella Sedame, the Brong-Ahafo Regional Commander of the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) has also confirmed the accident.
Supt Sedame in an interview with Kwami Sefa Kayi also confirmed 35 people got burnt.

Politics should not be brought into this. We allow it to mask the primary causes of problems in the country. Some drivers do not have enough experience, others too use drugs when driving. Again when accidents happen do we investigate? What do we do with the outcome of our investigations? We need to look at how we do things critically.
I don't really know why this drivers always rush whiles driving at mid-night. Its time for the government to put a huge stop to this all..... God have mercy on us all... Aamen
