I am deeply saddened to learn of the death of Major General Francis Vib-Sanziri, Head of Mission & Force Commander of UN Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Golan Heights.
The last time I met him was on my visit to the Ghanaian troops in Lebanon last year. Little did I know when I said goodbye that it would be the last time I would see him alive.
Maj.Gen.Vib-Sanziri's leadership, dedication and positive attitude to work and life will be sorely missed.
My heartfelt condolences to his family.
May his soul rest in perfect peace.

He was a friend of mine, the man had more brains than most of the politicians we have today. It is unfortunate that such people don't get the chance to rule. Everywhere he went he left a Mark, he loved this country and did whatever he could to develop the people around him. Through him more than a thousand people had university education. He had love for humanity. Rest in peace my friend.
