There is a saying in Akan; a local dialect that “bεεma nsu" meaning, "a man shouldn't cry" (no matter how sorrowful a scene may be).
However, a leading member of the rulong party, Yaw Adomako Baafi, could not hold back his tears while eulogizing Sir John.
Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Sir John, Former General Secretary of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) passed away on Wednesday at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.
According to sources, the deceased who is also the CEO of the Forestry Commission tested positive for Covid-19 and succumbed to complications of the disease while undergoing treatment at the ICU of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
Adomako Baafi, while describing the deceased as a peace-loving person on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo', couldn't hold back his tears as he tried to caution those who doubt the existence of COVID-19.
