The Vice President of the Republic, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 delivered a keynote address at the Ashesi University under the theme ''Transforming An Economy Through Digitization: The Ghana Story''.
Addressing a gathering, the Vice President touched on some key digitization programmes implemented by the government and other initiatives in the pipeline.
With digitization as a 4th industrial revolution, Dr. Bawumia used the platform to tell the Ghanaian success of how the Akufo-Addo government has used digitization to achieve a number of milestones.
Ghana is globally renowned as a digitization pacesetter on the African continent, Dr. Bawumia thus addressed how Ghana has achieved many global firsts in many innovations through digitisation.

If you keep on just opposing cynically for the sake of belonging to the opposing political party, you invariably tend to expose your incompetence on the blind side of things. This assertion holds for Mr. Adongo of the NDC. There is no excuse for this kind of intellectual dishonesty. The bottom line is anytime Dr. Bawumia gives a lecture about the Ghanaian economy, I tend to appreciate the level of incompetent the NDC critique is. Then, you don't need to be a pundit of economics to acknowledge the importance of digitalization. As a means to formalize and transform the colonial economic structures by leapfrogging with the new technology.
