NPP Member of Parliament (MP) for Bortianor Ngleshie Amanfrom, Sylvester Tetteh, has bitterly complained about the increases in fuel prices.
Fuel prices keep hiking up, affecting almost all sectors of the economy.
Commodity prices and transport fares have all shot up as a result of the unstable fluctuations in the prices of petrol.
Speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" programme, Hon. Sylvester Tetteh noted that, even as a Parliamentarian, he is greatly affected by the fuel prices that he has now decided to park his car.
According to him, he has been spending about GHC 2000 to fuel his V8 vehicle but cannot do it again.
So, "I've parked my V8 and using my mother's car. I can't afford the petrol price. With the V8, I buy fuel at 2000 cedis every week. It means every month, I'm spending 8000 cedis just on petrol. My salary cannot even cover that, so I have parked my car and now using a car that I don't have to spend that much on petrol," he stated.

What an arrogant and extraordinarily ***barred word*** thing for this so-called honourable Member to say. Many of our country folks are suffering severe hardships, some cannot afford even one decent meal a day and this MP complains about not being able to use his V8 vehicle. I was extremely ashamed reading this. Hasn’t he heard about downsizing? Can’t he use taxis? This numb head MP should be disciplined by his party. MIGHTY SHAME ON HIM.
It had to take fuel prices to to go up for you lot to have common sense? Who drives a v8 in an inbuilt area or city? I hope more hardships befall you because u will never learn or change attitudes as Africans.
Are we supposed to feel sorry for him?
Reality will soon dawn on you all! Politicians milking the Country dry till its current economic predicament. Didn't you know it has always been a waste of resources driving V8s on asphalted roads like Bortianor to parliament House? You ain't seen nothing yet!
