An evangelist associated with the church of Pentecost Prophet Kofi Amponsah has descended heavily on the leadership of the church over their stands on prophesies.
According to the leader of House of Ezra Prayer Centre, the recent past and present leadership of the church are too skeptical of prophesies.
He also accused the leadership of the church of being interested in money than the welfare of their members.
Addressing his congregation in a video gone viral, a visibly angry Prophet Amponsah invoked curses on the leadership of the church, saying they will face paralysis until they begin to think right about prophesies.
“The leadership of the church is sick, they are weak. No wonder Apostle Ntumi (former chairman) is in a wheel chair after his service, Apostle Opoku Onyinah (current chairman) will also be in a wheel chair if they don’t change. There were prophesies before they became leaders of the church, now they claim they don’t believe in prophesies; that is nonsense…all the church asks about money, they keep asking about the tithes and how small it was, they have no gift, none of them can preach as I do. I am warning them they must change. The church of Pentecost came from the heavens,” he said.
Meanwhile, the church has in a statement warned its members to stay away from the preacher and his prayer camp.
“The Church of Pentecost has with immediate effect severed all ties with Kofi Amponsah, the leader of House of Ezra Prayer Centre at Aboaso, near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
“The Church has, therefore, cautioned its teeming members, officers, serving and retired ministers to stop patronising any prayer meeting organised by the man and his prayer centre, or do so at their own risk,” the statement said.
It added: “It was also observed that he had unwarrantedly and distastefully made pronouncements against the Assemblies of God Church, as a result of some recent deaths in the church which are of serious concerns. These negative developments, the leadership of the Church believes, have the potential of straining the cordial relations between The Church of Pentecost and other sister churches”.

Well, we as a church believes that if you have a gift of healing or whatever, you should still be humble to your Pastors, Apostles and so on. Arrogance can never have its way in the church. Some of us saw Owusu Tabiri, how did it end? The young man should humble himself. If he can preach (something I doubt though), it means someone trained him when he was trainable; lay leaders' school, apostolisation, etc. Let him go with that speed. I wish him well.
One thing about some of these leaders is that, the somtyms become arrogant bcos the the annointing. and the feel they are greater than the pastors and the apostles. They dnt want to be corrected or rebuked. These are signs of rebellion. Are u greater than Eld Mireku and the rest? yet they are so sumbissive and humble and God is taking them far
The fruits of Protestantism. All protestants think that one and only catholic church was as at some point in history corrupted and therefore the need for separation as Martin Luther did. The best thing that Martin Luther and his so called reformers could have done was to pray for the church to be on track. We all know at least from the bible that leaders are chosen by God yet it is not always that things go well as God May have wanted it. In the book of 1 Samuel 9:16-17, God orders the prophet Samuel to anoint Saul as king of Israel. But then again, Prophet Samuel is told by God to tell king Saul that his kingship has been taken away from him(1 Samuel 15:8-12. God did not say Israel has been destroyed so the people should revolt and go and established a new kingdom. He made Prophet Samuel anoint David(a man after the heart of God)as king over Israel. So always when I hear stories like this which this which are likely to cause breakaway in a church then one wonder if such people truly listens to God and actually read their bible. May God watch over us all. Amen
Please I have posted A comment but it doesn't appear ,please may know the reasons why.?
Honestly speaking am a member of the church. Its very true the church is less concern about its members. Its all about money money money. The church has become a business entity and members pay to enjoy facilities we have helped the church to build. The devil is using money as a bait to derail the church and he has succeeded. The church has no future. Its elders, deacons and deaconess who help with operations of church yet no motivation. The headquarters does nothing to help. Church is sinking
Very sad to hear and/or read about this kind of development usually between the church and most often prayer camps that are associated with it. I can count a few like Adumfa, Hebron, Elder Dan of South Odorkor and on and on and on. I would be happy if the church publishes its code of ethics, standard religious and moral code which is in consonance with the Bible, so as to guiode the congregation and particularly the prophets who establish prayer camps? And are prayer camps necessary? .
Yes Pentecost leaders cant preach like that f.ool, cuz Pentecost leaders don't preach such abusive and insulting message as that I..diot did. May God have mercy on him.
