The Presiding Bishop of Perez Chapel International, Bishop Charles Agyinasare, has said the same laws of Ghana cannot be applied differently to different people.
In his first virtual sermon at the Perez Dome on Sunday, 12 July 2020, Bishop Agyinasare said it is imperative that political authorities apply the laws fairly and justly irrespectively of whom it affects.
Bishop Agyinasare warned that as a nation, “We must not allow politics to destroy our institutions because it is not the only pillar of society”, adding: “That means that we must have just balances and the laws of a nation are there to do that”.
Driving home his point with the Amplified version of Proverbs 11:1, which says: ‘A false balance and unrighteous dealings are extremely offensive and shamefully sinful to the lord, but a just weight is his delight’; and Leviticus 19:35 and 36, which say: ‘You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length or weight or quantity. 36 you shall have accurate and just balances, just weights, just Ephah and Hin measures. I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt’, Bishop Agyinasare said: “So, God is saying that laws should be such that they should be equal for everybody”.
“That means that there should not be different laws for different people. That means that if pastors, who gather less than 50 people are jailed for gathering 50 people when there should be a lockdown, when party faithful do that, they should also be jailed”.
The founder of Perez Chapel International also deplored the situation in which politicians have hijacked and invaded every pillar of society to the extent that even medical decisions for the nation are now being taken by politicians to suit their whims and caprices.
“Medical decisions for our nation are not made by medical professionals, they are made by politicians, and, so, we can all be dying as long as the decisions meet political whims and caprices”, Bishop Agyinasare said.
According to Bishop Agyinasare, that is just one example of how politicians have adulterated the pillars of society.
“I established the other day that there are seven pillars that uphold every society. These pillars are: government or politic; economy or business; education or academia; family, religion; sports & entertainment and the media”, he noted.
“Unfortunately for us, we have allowed politics to dominate all the other pillars in this country”.
“All the decisions in the business and banking sector are not taken by businesspeople anymore, they are taken by politicians and, so, no matter how suicidal they are, the politicians make them for us”, he said.
In education, he said decisions in the sector “are not made by educationists anymore but by politicians and no matter how bad it is, it is made”.
“And, so, we can change our schools from JSS to JHS; SSS to SHS, to this one and that one, till we don’t even know where it is going”, Bishop Agyinasare observed.
Furthermore, he noted that: “Decisions for the family are not taken by family people who have a sound or balanced home but by politicians or celebrities, some of whom have not been faithful to their spouse and have side chicks and if they are women, their husbands have run away and left them”.
“Some of these politicians and celebrities teach all kinds of things. And, some of them, who are taking decisions for family, are old people who are chasing girls the age of their daughters and granddaughters. They fulfil a joke I heard: ‘That marriage can be sweet, but if you’re married to the wrong person, it is like COVID-19; every day, it’s a new case’”.
Bishop Agyinasare also said “politicians have made it so difficult to criticise their wrongs”.
“When you do, they release their attack dogs who pounce on you through the media and social media and they insult you, threaten you and label you”, saying: “We cannot raise issues in this country anymore; when you do, then you are branded NDC or NPP, depending on whose ox is gored”.
Currently, Bishop Agyinasare noted, “We do not even have any known opposition radio or television station and we pride ourselves that we are a democracy. It is a shame on us”.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good people to do nothing”, Bishop Agyinasare quoted to support his point.
“We need people that can tell the unpleasant truth”, he insisted, fearing: “If we build a nation of yes-people, then we are doomed”.
He observed: “We have too many sycophants who only tell leaders that: ‘You were making a mistake’ after their fall. ‘I knew things would go wrong’, they say. So, why did you not say it then?’”.
“Politicians and leaders, it is time you appreciated those who would show you your ‘sins’ but not those who would sing your praise”, he said, urging: “Leaders on all fronts need people who would not fear your office but respectfully tell you that: ‘The king is naked’ but not say: ‘Oh king, you have a nice transparent garment on’”.

So Agyin Asare only found his critique voice when NPP is in power and Ndc is in opposition, the whole of the 8 years that NDC was in power, Mills era to Mahama era, you didnt speak out even on the Dumsor. Now suddenly every issue u come out to criticise
I have no issues with any Christian pastor who would want to have church service for more that one hour in this country. but before a church will be granted more hours, that church should be able to proof to us the number of Hospitals/Clinics it has built and their locations in the country so that should in case the members get infected, we will take them there for treatment. So Bishop Aginasare should kindly tell Ghanaians the number of hospitals/clinics his church has built in this country or anywhere in the world so that we will allow him and his members to worship for longer hours and so in case any of them is infected, we will simply take them there for treatment.
Fake pastor; you feel bitter because you dont have more time to collect monies from the poor. I wonder why intellectuals are attending these churches or they dont understand the Bible well? Anyway, understanding the scriptures are far different from academic work.
Well spoken. We need courageous men of God like you to speak to the ills perpetrated and perpetuated by politicians in society. At the peril of stepping on powerful "political toes" you spoke the truth as it should be spoken! Where is ethnocentric Rev Martey? He has suddenly lost his tongue, right? Now everything is perfect in Ghana, isn't it? Good for him. We now know who he is. Both NPP and NDC are bent on destroying this country and if religious leaders don't stand up and speak with one voice there is no hope for our kids in a country like Ghana. It is shocking some of the deals and decisions they make just to stay in or gain power. They do not care a fig for the common good and we should forget about any of these two parties taking us forward. All they are busy doing is to outdo each other in who is the cleverest thievv?
Akufo Ado's 🐕 s dogs will come after you soon. Paid to insult, they have all manner of excuses to justify attacks on men of God. Just follow the posts that follow this one. Unless of course, their Chairman general takes it down.
