The Electoral Commission has officially declared Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo as winner of the presidential primary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He secured 117, 413 votes representing 94.35 per cent as against 1,128 votes representing 0.91% by Francis Addai Nimoh and 5,908 representing 4.75% by Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
He has thus secured the mandate of the party's delegates to lead the NPP in the next general elections.
The total valid votes added up to 124, 449.
According to the EC's official figures, 1277 votes were rejected. In all, the total votes cast was 125,726.
Meanwhile, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen and Francis Addai Nimoh have congratulated Nana Addo Akufo for winning the primaries to lead the NPP in the 2016 Election.
