The District Chief Executive of Akatsi North, James Gunu has indicated that the National Democratic Congress' (NDC) 2016 manifesto is a gift from God.
He said as Christ was sent to save humanity so would the manifesto of the NDC save Ghanaians considering the projects, programs, policies and interventions listed in the manifesto are to further improve the livelihood of Ghanaians.
Commending the team that put the manifesto together, Mr Gunu argued that "from 1992 till date, no manifesto can be compared to the NDC's 2016 manifesto which is a blueprint to sailing Ghana into a better future."
He made this known in an interview with Joy News on the sideline of a presentation of free school uniform, teaching and learning materials to basic and junior high schools in the Akatsi North District of the Volta region.
"Just like how Moses went into the wilderness and prayed to God for the 10 commandments, so did the leaders of the NDC. They have been given direction from God to streamline the manifesto to aim at the wellbeing of Ghanaians," he said.
He added that "after carefully examining the manifesto, I realized that the four thematic areas on which the manifesto is centered on give the same inspiration derived the from the 10 commandments"
"I am more touched on the humanity aspect aimed at improving the livelihood of Ghanaians, this manifesto is so special, inspirational and hopeful, this makes it a direct manifesto from God, it contains programs and projects that would be relevant until thy kingdom come," he stressed.
According to him, the Mahama-led government has laid a solid foundation for rapid development to take off between 2017 and 2021 and charged the residents to vote massively to retain the NDC in power.
"No political party will come to power and directly put money in your pockets, they are a lot of ways of doing that. That is why the Mahama lead government has introduced programs and policies aimed at putting money in your pockets, the free school uniform program, LEAP, MASLOC loans among others," Mr Gunu said.
He also indicated the NPP's promise to give $1 million to every constituency when they take over power is a fallacy.
"The NPP created some districts in their time, they couldn't give the districts seed money, so if today they are promising that they will give every constituency $1 million, it is not true. They were not able to do it when they were in power," he stressed.
"But when the NDC created districts including my district, we were given seed money of GH¢1 million Ghana, that helped the district to take off...the NPP couldn't do it when they had the opportunity and the won't be able to do it now, they shouldn't deceive anybody," he maintained.
"They [NPP] claim they will restore teacher and nurse trainee allowance but have failed to tell us where they will get the money from to pay the allowances. We [NDC] scrub off teacher and nurse trainee allowance so we can inject that money into the expansion of the colleges of education to produce more teachers to fill our classrooms," he concluded.

Fiifi should tell us where we got the money to pay Teacher and Nursing Trainees before they wickedly withdrew it.
Who can tell the Ewes, Ga-Adangbes, Krobos, Sefwis, Brongs and the Northerners to desist from voting for Mahama and his 1000 robbers. Ghana is now importing cassava, plantain, water, electricity and cocoa from Ivory Coast. The old president of Ivory Coast is feeding the young president of Ghana. Now a days, you don't hear any good news about Ghana: only armed robbery, killings, accidents, demonstrations, etc.

Pathetic bunch of people leading Ghana. even the Theme of their 2016 manifesto was stolen from them of NPP's 2012 manifesto. NPP's 2012 manifesto had the them "Transforming Lives, Transforming Ghana" NDC 2016 manifesto's them is "Changing Lives, Transforming Ghana" So the NDC cannot do anything without stealing ideas from the NPP. God save Ghana from these Crooks.
