The Chief of Staff Mr Julius Debrah has said promotion of entrepreneurship in the country is one of the major strategies contained in the NDC manifesto to create jobs over the next four years when the party retains power in the December 7, election.
He made the statement in Sunyani at a forum organised by the party to explain the achievements of the ruling party over the past four years and it plans for further socioeconomic development in the next four years when it wins the coming election.
The programme was part of the activities for the 6-day campaign tour of the Brong Ahafo region by the chief of staff.
Business men and women, religious leaders, traditional leaders, professionals, students and members of the security services attended the forum which was on the theme " thinking together to transform mother Ghana."
Mr Julius Debrah said government has provided the needed infrastructure such as roads, water, electricity and peaceful environment to enhance job creation.
The Deputy minister of Communication Mr Ato Sarpong said the achievements of President Mahama over the past four years is enormous adding that 60% of schools under trees have been eliminated as at June 2016 whilst 123 Senior High Schools have been built in various parts of the country.
