The Minister of Communications, Dr Edward Omane Boamah has reiterated that there was an “obvious media bias against the government,” which was very well known.
In a radio interview on Joy FM Tuesday morning, the Communications Minister maintained that there were a number of times that he had to respond to calls to engage not just Multimedia radio stations but several other media organisations on their biases.
He was responding to a publication in the Ovation Magazine in which President Mahama said a group of media practitioners have been “blocking” and “distorting” his developmental agenda.
Dr Omane Boamah insisted: “The obvious bias the President has spoken about it, it is obvious and it is not lost, no one can challenge this.”
Asked to put out names of media personnel the President referred to as a “cabal” Dr Boamah declined and said “I’m sure if the President wanted to put out names, he would have done that but this bias is very well known.”
He urged the media to be a little more receptive and flexible in treating “good news also coming from government and the NDC as a political party.”

The media has no time for underachievers and losers. Stuppppid man.
Are you surprised? If your spokesmen are certified buphoooooons with names like Kofi Adams, Felix kwachi, fiifi kwettey, koku anyidoho and Muntie convicts, do you expect any better media positivity? Instead of them talking about your "empty" achievements they spend all the time attacking Nana Addo, making him ever more popular. And you are complaining about an imaginary media bias? Dont be stuppppid! Admit what we all know - NDC is had deaddd beats and are headed for the guttttter this elections. Noooooonsense
NDC HAS BEEN IN POWER FOR 8 YEARS AND THE RESULTS HAS BEEN A BIG FAILURE! WHY WILL A JULOR GOVT LIKE NDC ASK FOR 4 MORE YEARS? BECOS NDC THINK GHANAIANS HAVE SHORT MEMORIES. NO! WE ARE NOT. oguan m333333, you sit at the fm station and sing mahama paper and dance with your ***barred word*** green devi.li.sh book. you want the media to sell your message of no substance.
foo.lish man
Have you forgotten what (P)NDC did to the media guys? You put journalists into prison and you want them to like you? Never! You tell too many lies and the credible unbiased media houses cannot associate with. Learn to tell the truth and your message will be carried.
When you don't talk about what you will do and instead talk about what someone cannot do, this what happens. Chang is coming
If the NDC admitting they are not getting their message right to the people or they don't just want to admit that people are complaining about the economy and they are talking about change?
Do you need the media? I thought you said you did 'Accounting to the People Tour'. The people in the locality must know what you have done for them. SO WHY WORRY? CHANGE IS COMING!
