The New Patriotic Party have said they will exceed their 30% votes target on the Volta Region saying there is an awe-inspiring evidence they have gained more grounds in the NDC stronghold than expected.
NPP flagbearer Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is currently on a five-day campaign tour of the region.
He started his trip Monday where he met with the chiefs and people of Peki, Alavanhyo and other surrounding villages.
“…You cannot describe the Volta Region as the stronghold of the NDC; that would be misleading. It will be an outright lie. I, myself, was a parliamentary candidate in 2012. I have never seen the kind of reception and warm welcome and show of comradeship and solidarity with the message of change that the people of the Volta Region are showing to us today,” Pius Hadzide, a campaign aide to Nana Akufo-Addo told Accra based Class FM.
“I keep asking myself: ‘Are we back in the Ashanti Region or Eastern Region or Central Region? Is this the Volta Region? I can assure you that the air of change that is blowing very well also in the Volta Region and we may even need to revise our projection of 30 per cent of the popular vote and three per cent of parliamentary seats. We may need to revise those targets” he added.
A week ago, The NDC’s national General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia told a crowd in the Volta Region he regrets not paying attention to the impact the NPP is making across the region.

WE VOLTARIANS NEED CHANGE AS EVERY REGION IS CRYING FOR COME DEC.7
Why is the npp keep deceiving itself year after year with all these ***barred word*** we are making inroads in the NDC stronghold? All the insults and accusation from the npp has not been lost on the people from the volta region. Put aside the keta sea defense the npp has been claiming as their project, what else did they do for the people of the volta region. The NDC can pride itself of the roads, university, hospital, senior day schools, the ferries, etc. Any voltarian that votes for the npp is a disgrace to himself/herself.
I WONDER WHETHER THE PRESIDENT, OR HIS MEN, READ THESE COMMENTS. IF THEY DO, THE LAST MINUTE PROJECTS THEY ARE DOING ARE DANGEROUS. THEY PROVE THAT THE NDC GOVERNMENT KNOWS WHAT THE PEOPLE NEED BUT HAS DELIBERATELY DENIED THEM. THE QUESTION, HOWEVER, IS WHY THINGS THAT COULD SYSTEMATICALLY BE DONE EFFICIENTLY IN EIGHT YEARS ARE NOW BEING RUSHED THROUGH IN THREE MONTHS. SOMEBODY IS NOT BEING HONEST WITH THE GHANAIAN ELECTORATE. SUCH DISHONESTY CANNOT BE LOST ON GOD WHO ACTS THROUGH MEN. THERE IS AN UNSEEN MYSTERIOUS HAND THAT OFTEN WORKS IN THE BOOTH ON ELECTION DAY TO EFFECT THE WILL OF THE DIVINE.
We the Voltarians cannot stay behind when all in Ghana a going to vote for change. It will be too expensive for us to isolate ourselves from the rest of the nation for the sake of NDC who has woefully failed the nation. The corruption in Ghana has become unhealthy to our economy, in spite of the all the resources including the oil.
TWEAKAE!!!!! YOU DON'T HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO SHAKE THE WORLD BANK. ESPECIALLY WHEN THE PERSON OF THE FLAG BEARER CONTINUES TO LOSE VOTES ELECTION AFTER ELECTION. WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THEIR DELEGATES CONGRESS, WHERE FIGURES WERE MASSAGED TO MAKE HIM LOOK GOOD IN THE EYES OF THE ELECTORATE. MEANWHILE THEY ARE STILL CONTEMPLATING ON EXPANDING THEIR ELECTORAL COLLEGE. EVEN IF THEY SUCCEED IN THIS MOVE,,, THIS MAN WILL NEVER WIN AN ELECTION IN THIS COUNTRY.... NEVER EVER.
We the Voltarians (Volta Region) are also living in JDM Ghana and for that matter we are also experiencing Non Function of NHIS, High Electricity Bills, High Water Bills, High School Fees, High Transport Fares, Ever Increasing of Fuel Prices, Hard Living Conditions. Ghana's GDP in 2009 is 8.5% and in 2016 is 3.3%. How can JDM CREATE Jobs with this GDP Economy. This has led to the cancellation of Teachers Training Allowances, Nurses Training Allowances. The above have AFFECTED the everybody and nowadays there are PRESSURE on every citizen. VOLTA4CHANGE, VOLTAYOUTH4CHANGE, CHANGE IS COMING IN 7TH DECEMBER
This proverb goes to Npp "you are seeing the eye of crab thinking is stick" I rest my case.
Me and my family members will vote for NPP this time....
