Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress [NDC], Joseph Ade Coker has reacted to comments being leveled against President Mahama’s failure to attend the Institute of Economic Affair's (IEA's) presidential debate
President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC, who were more than ready during the 2012 elections to debate Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo at the IEA, now appear not to want to have anything doing with the policy think tank.
“My party decided not to participate in this year’s IEA debate because the institution has not behaved properly towards the NDC,” Ade Coker said on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’.
According to him, a presidential debate as it is well organized in other foreign countries is not the same in our country because the institutions that handle these debates are not neutral and well organized.
Again, he noted that the National Commission for Civic Education [NCCE] which is ready as a body to organize one of such debates would not meet the requirements due to its public sector position.
He said a lot of issues would be raised against an NCCE debate as such he would be glad should persons like Kofi Annan, Former United Nations Secretary-General and others of such caliber privatize this debate in a professional manner.

what about Kwadjo Oppong Nkrumah as moderator? shame on you NPP
Ungrateful NDC. You used Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang as the moderator of the last IEA debate to discredit Nana Akuffo Addo, now you turned round to accuse this same IEA. Wonders shall never end. As for Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, God will deal with her at the right time for her bias towards Nana Akuffo Addo in that debate.
Heheheheeeeeeeeeeeee. Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemangwhowas the moderator of the last IEA debate has since been the INCOMPETENTT President's Minister of Education. kikiki
