Central Regional Secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwamena Duncan has fired at the Inspector General of Police (IGP), John Kudalor over the alleged secret deal between him and the Electoral Commission to insert new names into the special voters’ list.
Speaking on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', Kwamena Duncan held strongly that the IGP may be up to some mischief.
According to him, the IGP has, since his appointment, showed his biases particularly towards the opposition NPP.
“He has always turned a blind eye in matters where violence has been perpetrated against people of the NPP. It could be recalled that during our registration at the Volta Region, the Volta Regional Chairman was beaten to pulp and (Kwami), we had pictorial evidence of a Policeman who said he’s an Inspector or Chief Inspector carrying ballot boxes in a car. In fact, we put all the pictures out and the Regional Executive Committee [Kwami] called on the IGP to institute an investigation. Up till today, nothing has happened.”
He therefore expressed mistrust in the IGP, wondering why he would ask the EC to insert new names in a list.
“What basis does the IGP have to stand on that (Kwami), they should insert new names into the special voters’ list when indeed we have gone past that post? 28th October, that was when that was done and sealed. Where is this new list coming from? IGP, this new list; where are you bringing it from and you want that list to be inserted in there? For what?” he questioned.
To him, the IGP is working in his own interest and apparently for some political gains.
“Are we sure of the names that the IGP is seeking for the Regional Commanders, Divisional and District Commanders to get them inserted into the special voters’ list? Do we know these names? Do we know them as political parties? [Kwame] Do we know them? This is what proves that the IGP may have his own agenda," he stressed.

I think for peace to prevail, this comment session of news should be closed since most people use it to insult others. God help GH! i THINK CLOSING THIS SECTION OF THE NEWS WON'T HURT ANYONE BUT ALLOWING PEOPLE TO INSULT OTHERS BECAUSE THEY EXPRESSED THEIR OPINIONS DEFINITELY HURTS! AT LEAST FOR THE REST OF THE PERIOD TO THE ELECTIONS.
Worry not for nothing on earth Can stop the will of God from prevailing on the 7th December . Let try all their antics all we need is vigilance on the day of polls . The very day the IGP stAted the police may shutdown social media gave me a sense he is up to something fishy . The presidEnt put him there so he would do anything to ensure the president retain in power so he can also remain at post as IGP period .
Masa you still have 2 weeks to go to court to stop these ***barred word*** so stop complaining and go to court.
Dum ghana IGP must resign. Kudalor must resign...he is not honest. He is racist and article of no used chap. Ghanaians must call on to resign from his post. ***barred word*** man
its amazing a senior officer in a noble profession cannot use his independent mind to work . .Why cant we have professional Service men with integrity to Hold that office. all those appointed are politically motivated all the time. Am sure he wants to secure his position so there is no Change of Government. Its the people of Ghana that pays you not the president. The president will leave on 7th December 2017 but the institution will continue to exist
Why are they so cheap like that? I just don't get it. So before their political appointments, were they people of straw? They get there and they lose their sense of honesty, integrity and professionalism. The masses are the end sufferers. What a country!
