The second phase of the special voting exercise is currently underway in designated polling stations in all 275 constituencies in Ghana.
The Electoral Commission had to extend the voting day to make room for those who could not vote as a result of challenges in the December 1 voting to cast their ballots.
However, today's exercise is also experiencing some problems starting with the process beginning late and also the long queues.
Some voters are angry over missing names on the electoral register as it appears the EC did not provide a new roll as earlier communicated.

Charlotte Osei is a perfect description of what it means to have a "square peg in a round whole." She is irritatingly disappointing. A novice to the core without any idea of what it means to be an electoral commissioner. From day one, her childish attitude of taking a posture of a fighter rather than using common sense to attend to her basic assignments has painted a dirty picture of her to Ghanaians. Why should Charlotte Kenson-Smith (Now Charlotte Osei) who contested at the primaries on the ticket of the NDC in 2008 as a parliamentary candidate be made and electoral commissioner? No wonder her bias towards the NDC. Is there not a more competent person to have been an EC chair. The whole world is watching. What a shame!
