The Assin South Constituency National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication Director, Mr Asiedu Mucha believes promises made by the President-elect Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the build up to the December 7 polls were attractive and appealing to every single voter in the country.
He observed that what the NDC put out in its campaign manifesto were contents one found exceptionally difficult to explain to the grassroots and as result earned the party the humiliating defeat at the polls.
According to him, there was no doubt Nana Addo deserved a win considering the number of policies and programmes he pledged to the Ghanaian voters who are also the kingmakers.
“This was a man who promised to restore nursing and teacher training allowances, improved National Health Insurance Scheme which is almost collapsing, one village one dam, one million dollars for every constituency and a host of others. If I am a voter it is obvious I will be lured by these promises because they are fantastic, practicable and appealing”, he said.
Asiedu Mucha is optimistic the NDC can recapture power in 2020 if its leadership properly put things together and work towards bringing all aggrieved members on the table to work in the interest of the party rather than personal interest.

Learn to work for the interest of the community rather than the party. Your biggest flaw in governance, don't you see it even now? Till you change your interest orientation you will always soup in your own juice as it is now don't come back anymore, brother.
Really, NDC is thinking about 2020.you guys are joking, after ***barred word*** mother Ghana with this millions of doller's uncounted for, wow. Hope Ghanaians will be wise and hold every party accountable. every minister of NDC government have to be investige ,we are tired of NDC coming to power and do nothing for mother Ghana.
The corruption was also too much. A government need to prosecute the corrupt even if they are from their own party. Over-inflated costs of projects and unbridled borrowing also showed its effects on the economy.
Reasons for Mahama,s defeat are not farfetched. Those around him were paid to talk and not to think,to make matters worse, some uncultured youth such as Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Koku Anyidoho,Fiifi Kwetey,Sam George,Kofi Adams,Solomon Nkansah and co were all over the place insulting elderly people as if to say it was a crime for any Ghanaian to be 72 years and above, if you can insult some ones father openly,it means you have been insulting your own father at home, that is if you have one.So the only option was to show them the exit thus the humiliating defeat suffered by Bole Mahama.NDC does not need to do any post election research to know why they lost, the boys mentioned above are the cause of their defeat, next time get youngsters who were properly brought up the Ghanaian way to be ministers/deputy ministers, that is if you ever get the opportunity again,i pity John Mahama, these boys did him a lot of disservice,i cant think far, hmmnnnn.
