Members of a vigilante group affiliated to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Delta Force, stormed the Kumasi Circuit Court today [Thursday], and freed the members of their group who were facing charges for causing disturbances at the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council.
A reporter who was in court told Citi News that the group vandalized some court properties, and almost assaulted the Judge, Mary Senkyire.
The judge had ruled that, they be remanded to appear before court on the 20th of April, 2017. The 13 were detained in connection with the group’s raiding of the Regional Coordinating Council on March 24, where they were alleged to have assaulted the newly appointed Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator, George Adjei.
After the judge’s ruling, the members said they were not going to allow the ruling to stand, and demanded that the 13 leave the court with them.
According to the reporter, the judge stood in shock at the group’s behaviour, and was on the verge of being brutalized up by the vigilante group before police intervened and ushered her into her chamber.
No arrest has as yet been made in connection with the court disturbances, although some police officers were present at the Court.

Thank you Mensah Otabil. This is what you gave us,rampaging NPP private militias.
Owusu bempah, where are you. Don't you have any revelation on what these Npp fuuulllls are doing to your darling old dwarf? This is the time we need some of your bogus prophecies.
My worry is that if these thugs are not np in the bud as early as possible, there could be a potential ripple effect that would embolden youth in towns and cities to begin also taking the law into the hands and run amok at the least provocation. I remember most Npp leaders after the Supreme Court verdict on 2012 election brainwashed their followers to make the country ungovernable. This went on and on, and now that their party is in power the chickens have come home to roost. The still think NDC is still in power, so they are continuing to make the nation ungovernable, forgetting that nana Addo is the new president. Let me remind you that, the so called incompetent mahama is gone, you now have your so called competent nana Addo and Barwumia, so stop this nun sense. Competent leader does not sit down for judiciary and other state institutions to be attacked by his own party thugs.
I have been reading most of your posts, but it looks as if you are a nation wrecker. I can't fathom why a reasonable being would say that something bad happened in 2008, so similar things are happening now, people should keep quiet. What is actually wrong with your head. Is it not because people were mistreated during the NDC time that Ghanaians overwhelmingly voted for nana Addo. People like you should be ostracized to countries where lawlessness is the order of the day. What nun sense! Wegyimiiipaaaaaaa.
Where is Dr. Bawumia, Mr competent prove yourself.
this thing is getting out of hand and very soon it is going to escalate into more serious issues. It is dishearten how people have no respect for the stool anymore.
It is so easy for all you ***barred word*** individuals to condemn this group. Because you have very short memories.Worse things have happened in this country O.Go back to 2008 People were butchered right in front of a police station Where were the police then Has anybody been arrested for those murders?Anita de Soso drove her vehicle into a crowd of NPP supporters and critically injured lots of them. What happened? This Delta Force what actually did they do" Kill someone? They manhandled an appointee of the president ,That was not good enough. If they have been arrested how can the judge remand them, for 2 weeks. for misdemeanour? Why Are they armed robbers.Whiles not condoning lawlessness we have to be fair here. I think the judge erred in remanding them for that long. Now everyone has found their voices and our low-cost journalists sit in studios and talk nons3nse.This is a delicate matter and I think Nana should handle it with caution otherwise he;d be playing right into the hands of the evil of the NDC.
oTabil, prof mertey, prof Stephen Addai, sam okudzeto, the catholic bishops, Kwame Sega kayi etc. Thanks God is not human
I think we should go back to Military rule, rule of law will not help us we are not safe
The people behind these vigilante groups are dishonorable Ken Agyapong and the thug Wontumi. They feel the NPP owe their victory to them and therefore they are above the law. Interesting times ahead.
