Pro-NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, stormed the Kumasi Circuit Court on Thursday to set free members of the group arraigned before court for wreaking chaos at the office of the newly-elected Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator.
The members, 13 in number, were facing charges for causing commotion after forcibly trooping into the office of the newly-elected Ashanti Regional Security Coordinator and ransacking the place some weeks ago.
Presiding Judge, Mary Senkyire had ruled for the suspects to be remanded to appear before court on Thursday, April 20.
But the group went to the court to ensure the Judge overturns the ruling and frees the suspects.
They insisted that the 13 members leave with them as the court was in session.
Sources indicate that but for the intervention of the Police, the group would have nearly brutalized the Judge who was utterly shocked at their behaviour.
She was then ushered into her chamber to avert any assault on her.
The group is said to have vandalized some properties in the court.

First of all I totally condemn these acts of lawlessness. This kind of thing cannot be allowed to continue. Here we are .Now everybody has found his voice. A few years back Ghanaians were actually murdered right in front of a police station These people belonged to the NPP. Not a squeak was heard from the police, and civil society groups who are now up in arms.In other words the murderers an Ndc group got away clean.Crime though has no expiry date yet to date no one has been arrested for those politically motivated murders.Thank God in this Delta Force case no one has been hurt yet.We all sit a and allow the system to be corrupted and those who make the loudest noises get away with everything. Read all the comments; the NDC is happy ;having a good time.In the past few days many important interventions have been put in place by government yet it is this unfortunate incident that interests our low-low life, low cost ill trained journalists.Nana is going nowhere. He will not resign as some half-wits are suggesting .He will do his work and Ghana will be better for it.By the way if the accused persons were already on bail why did the judge then ask them to be remanded foe 2 weeks?
Its wrong to do something like that. Ghana is a law abiding country. But ndc abused power and this is the result of their actions. If it was not wrong for u to release the montie 3 from prison for threatening to rape and kill judges of this country, then there's nothing wrong with wat this boys did. Thank God Nana is a peaceful man and he is not supporting this unlike Mahama who gave the order for their release. If Ghana is becoming a banana republic, then it will help some m.o.n.k.e.y.s who will stay till that 2020. God bless Nana and God bless Ghana.
This what Kofi Koomson warn Ghanaians about...that he cannot sleep if Akuffo Addo becomes president...oyiwa...This criminal and terrorist act has never happened in Ghana before......These boys were trained and used to brutalize Afoko, Kwabena Agyepong and then political opponents and now they have been unleashed on the security forces and judiciary.....Ghana has become a banana republic under Akuffo Addo...May God have mercy on us..Nana will go in 2020.....
The country Ghana is heading to disaster .....NPP ...Nana Addo and his Kan Dappah must resign immediately
All Die be die at work. NPP is a violent group. By their fruits...............
Those comments are all r0bbish and nobody is interested in causing chaos in Ghana and do not let us politicize this ACT of gross indiscipline, ignorance and disrespect to the CONSTITUTION OF GHANA.IT IS OUR CONSTITUTION THAT HAD BEEN ATTACKED AND IT AMOUNTS TO ATTACKING THE NATION. This is the time we must see real leadership. If these guys are not brought to book and subdued, both them and their sponsors and whoever supports in words or deeds, then we are setting a very very very very baad precedent. We NEED an iron fist NOW, and those guys must be track, chase, pursue and brought to book and even chase, pursue all those in this platform who dare support in anyway these acts we are seeing. I think we need Trump or Putin now. Nana, you are the commander in chief, you have the power and the firepower, 'ACT NOW".
THE POLICE AND THE ARMY SHOULD BE GIVEN POWERS TO SHOT THEM ON SITE ,ELSE GHANA WILL BE LIKE SYRIA.KILL THE ***barred word***.
Please, please, the judge was not heckled in any way. Much as there was disorder, please be objective in your reportage. The incident is unfortunate and must be condemned in all aspects but please once again, be objective.
i think we should all clap for them for a good job done. It was long overdue but better late than never. They can now escalate it to other areas like the presidency, parliament house and eventually take over the country.
Nana must resign now!
