What happened in France where the two dominant political parties have been cast aside and someone has been elected as President will happen in Ghana sooner or later, founder of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Nduom, has said.
Dr Nduom has been urging Ghanaians to dump the two dominant political parties in the country – the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) – for a third force, which according to him, should be the PPP.
In a Facebook post to congratulate the newly elected French President Emmanuel Macron, Dr Nduom said: “Congratulations, France! I wish to congratulate President-elect Emmanuel Macron for his decisive victory yesterday. France has chosen a path of good reason, global goodwill, and progressive ideas.
“The Progressive People's Party (PPP) is happy about the result of the French election for another reason. After the dominance of the two traditional political parties since at least the 1950s, the people have voted to cast them aside and choose someone new. A new order has arrived In France as will happen sooner or later in Ghana.”
Mr Macron, 39, is the youngest president in French history and also the first French President who does not belong to a major political party.

Ateka get your facts right, you can easily research on google. Do you think his political opponent would overlook it if Macron's wife was a a child molester? And Ayariga may I say that open your mind, yes in Ghana men don't marry women much older than them because Ghanaian man want to be domineering and would not acknowledge their wife's contribution to their success!
Just Look at his face he is already tired in life.
Keep dreaming brother!! It may happen but not in your lifetime. You are not 39 years, anyway.
I STLL CANT COMPREHEND WHY SILLY FOLKS COMPARE EVERYTHING EUROPE,AMERICA TO GHANA.FOR A THOUSAND YEARS GHANA CAN NEVER BE EUROPE OR AMERICA.THEY SHOULD STOP DREAMING.IS IT BECAUSE THEY WEAR SUITS IN THE HOT SUN THEY THINK THEY ARE ON THE SAME LEVEL AS EUROPEANS.EUROPEANS WEAR SUITS TO PROTECT THEM FROM THE COLD BUT IN GHANA UNDER THE BLAZING SUN PEOPLE WILL BE SWEATING YET THEY WILL PUT THREE PIECE SUITS.LAUGHABLE PEOPLE.
Ghanaians must learn to choose well. Otherwise, we shall perish in poverty
The newly elected French President, Emmanuel Macron, is a bad role model for presidential aspirant. Macron's step-children are older than him. His wife, then a 39 year-old married woman with older children, starting cheating with ("child-abusing") him when he was only 16 years old. The woman subsequently divorced his husband and married Macron. In any civilized country, sans France, the lady would be sitting in prison for child abuse. No man with such bad sense of judgement should become a president. Macron is now 39 and the wife is 62-years old. Hmmm.
Macron's Example Will Happen In Ghana by Nduom? A 39 year old man marrying a 64 year woman in Ghana? Please Nduom come again!
I agree with you, brother.
Ndoum should stop dreaming. The level of literacy in France cannot be compared to Ghana. Did Ndoum hear of anything like "polling agents" and "foot soldiers" in France? Did he hear of any stubborn EC chairperson disqualifying candidates and challenging supreme court ruling in France? He should focus on his business and stop the wishful thinking. It wont happen in Ghana, at least not in his lifetime.
