The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has dared management of the Daily Guide newspaper to present the real pages of the Kwesi Botchwey report to corroborate their claims.
The Wednesday publication of the Accra-based daily disclosed that the party had offered 200 cars for grabs by journalists.
Interestingly, just a handful of the erstwhile Presidential press corps are said to have benefited from the car gift.
"Only four out of the 34 members of the Presidential press corps were given vehicles from a pool of about 200 vehicles available for distribution to the press corps and others", the newspaper quoted from the Botchwey report.
Daily Guide further revealed that the recipients were from the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and a Radio Gold reporter.
The paper further stated, from the Botchwey report, that the "Presidential press corps was told by Stan Dogbe that they were not part of the 'system' and that they were privileged to be part of the Presidential press corps...President Mahama's in-house communication team was squandering resources of the President meant for communication strategy".
The newspaper also accused the aide of President John Mahama, Stan Dogbe of planting stories in pro-NDC media organizations during the tenure of the then President, saying "it is also emerging that it was Stan Dogbe, the trusted aide of John Dramani Mahama, who was writing stories and 'pushing' them to the pro-NDC media outlets, popularly called 'rented press' for publication".
Daily Guide, in supporting their reportage, quoted the exact pages of the Kwesi Botchwey report where they picked their information from.
According to the paper, the 65-page executive summary of the 455-page report said on "Page 27 that Stan Dogbe writes stories and pushes them through NDC media" adding on "Page 28 that the powerful Mahama aide literally banned publications on Second Lady".
The Daily Guide publication under the headline "NDC Had 200 Cars" continued to emphasize other pages in the report to the delight of its readers.
But Former National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress, Yaw Boateng Gyan, has raisd oubt about the credibility of the newspaper's claims.
Speaking to the issue of the alleged interception of the Kwesi Botchwey's report by the media, on Peace FM's 'Kokrokoo', he challenged the newspaper to show "scanned" copies of the Kwesi Botchwey report to prove the authenticity of their publication.
Mr. Boateng Gyan believed the newspaper's claims are nothing but a figment of their imagination and therefore called on Ghanaians to turn blind eye to the publication.

Look at this one too. You were abandoned and completely left out of the campaign and everything about the NDC. Even if they publish a copy, how would you know since you are now a nonentity in the party and obviously haven't seen a copy of the report
