Audio Attachment: Listen to Nana Obiri Boahene |
Deputy General Secretary for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Obiri Boahene has described as politically suicidal any plan to reinstate suspended General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong, National Chairman Paul Afoko and First Vice Chairman Sammy Crabbe.
According to him, even though he is not the spokesperson for the National Executive Committee (NEC) and National Council, it is not so simple for the party to reinstate the suspended National Executives.
Speaking to the issue raised by some NPP members demanding that Kwabena Agyepong is reinstated as the General Secretary of NPP, Nana Obiri Boahene said on Okay FM’s 'Ade Akye Abia' Morning Show that the group should rather petition the NEC and the matter will be transferred to the National Council.
He however added that the reinstatement of the suspended national executives is not the priority of the party as there are more pressing issues confronting the party which demands immediate attention.
He stressed that it is the priority of the party to make some constitutional amendments on the operations of the executives; as well as the construction of an ultra modern party headquarters just as the NDC has done.
The NPP Deputy Chief Scribe therefore suggested to those calling for the reinstatement of the suspended national executives to consider the fact that NPP has won power, and the services of the suspended national executives no longer needed.
“Why don’t you also say that the party has won power and so why do we need their services? So to reinstate or not to reinstate is not number one priority for the party, but let me conclude by saying that it will be politically suicidal for the party to do any reinstatement. With my experience in politics, it will be politically suicidal for the party to do that. I will not explain further but it is politically suicidal to do that because the issue is very dicey,” he asserted.

What remorse had Kwabena shown so far? none. If l were Kwabena,l would rather be defending the party on issues by now. If l were Kwabena, any attack on me by colleagues NPP members will be countered in a remorse and tactful manner and not resort to the courts. Kwabena, this is the time to fight for NPP, Show your loyalty publicly. Talk for the government and NPP when ever you get the chance. Ghanaians are very very forgiving otherwise people like Rawlings and co will never be entertained but what do we see now. Kwabena learn, leaen, learn. e gbe naa, yooo.
With the current stance of Kwabena with NPP he has ACTUALLY COMPLETED his Political career in this country. Because he has spoiled his own house how much more another Party will accept. May be, because he is acting for a certain Party, he will be accepted there.
Every NPP supporter or sympathizer KNOW that it is easier Koku or Adams to be accepted into NPP than Kwabena. Kwabena has now shown his REAL colour which led his sacking from Presidential Spokesperson by Kuffour. He has determined to bring confusion into NPP but he will FAIL.
These three saboteurs have scheme together, have not and cannot change their habits and therefore bringing them back will spell doom to the party. As the next chance they get, they will do more harm than before and the damage would be irreparable to the party. They have their parochial interest and would continue to be traitors, saboteurs, black sheep, arrogant and bad executives who would not serve in humility but abuse the responsibilities entrust in them to pursue their diabolic agenda.
I wish ma bro Kwabena Agyepong will do a little self-introspection and do some analysis and draw his own conclusion. NPP claims you and Paul Afoko together with Sammy Crabbe were sabotaging the Party's efforts in wrestling power from NDC and therefore initiated every unconventional way to remove you from your position. They also claim your absence enabled the Party win the election; and therefore see your return as a sign of bad omen for the Party. If I were Kwabena Agyepong, I will distant myself from the Party activities and think of my family. After all you are not the only former Gen. Sec of a political party. Don't allow 1dd10ts* like Wontuni and Obiri Buahene to enter your tent.
Deputy GS u r 101% right these guys put us through hell i v his audios on my phone threatening that without his signature our revered candidate can file his nomination arrogance be what and to think i voted for him and Afoko he really disappointed us
Whose interest are we serving if we reinstate them? A coach does not change his winning team. What if after reinstatement they do worse than they did earlier to derail the direction of the party? Perceived show of remorse as some people are alleging are just a façade. PARTY FIRST!!
