The managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr says the 2018 budget has been 'masked' in a way to deceive Ghanaians.
According to him, the 2018 budget and financial statement read in parliament by the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta is 'Kaakaamotobi' (scary mask) because "people are not able to relate to...an act of deception".
"People are not able to relate to the budget and see how it directly affects them. And this is an act of deception. This enables the elites to carry on in a manner that confuses the people” he said during a panel discussion on Radio Gold's Alhaji and Alhaji, Saturday.
According to Kwesi Pratt, "I am very uncomfortable with the format that we have adopted as oppose to the previous format which has dealt with the nitty-gritty of our lives to the things that has affected us negatively. This change is deliberate, deceitful and meant to confound the masses...“ he underscored.

This Kwasi Prat with sharp teeth. He only think of his stomach
You see how ***barred word*** our some of the well known Ghanaian journalist are? Once you belong to the opposition, you just criticize any meaningful the govt do and vice versa aden? We have a big problem with these people always on TV, radio... God bless us
KWASIAAA MAN.
@TT, please tell me how many Ghanaians put up complete buildings before they move in? They move in when the roofing, floor concrete, water and electricity are available. Whilst they are in the house they gradually put finishing touches to the house. When will any government finish with building all schools before free SHS can start? Would an NDC member say something about their government's policies like Dr Amoako Tuffuor just said about this SHS thing? But that is good governance because it puts his own government on it's toes to do the work.
what is more Kaakaamotobi than your face?
I am happy that the NPP has crafted the budget in a way that people like Kwasi Pratt will not understand and do propaganda with it. It is meant for only sensible people.
If you don't understand go and read. Free SHS is avilable for you
"How someone like KWESI PRATT lives and KABA gets taken aw a y from us sad š. Why not take Kwesi Pratt? " so someone says
This is no news! Kwesi Pratt has not said anything good about any npp government. He can describe the budget anyhow he wants to. This government will not use tax payer's money to buy landcruiser for you Akwasi Mahuwo.
TT, you got it wrong. Free SHS is one of the best things that has happened to Ghana. You are writing this because you have some level of education but what about 100,000 fellow citizens who dropped out, every year? As a professor, I know that Free SHS is a way to build a country where people have equal opportunities to achieve their goals and contribute to the society. Now, my question is: do you prefer 100,000 drop outs or the problems SHS is facing? I am sure that these problems will be solved and Ghana will emerge stronger and successful. It is always important to realise that, no policy initiative around the World has been introduced without any hitch or problems. Look at President Obama health care policy? There were problems and still there are problems but it is one of the best policies an American President has introduced for decades.
