Member of Parliament for Yapei Kusawgu and former Deputy Minister for Energy under the Mahama government, John Jinapor has called on the Akufo-Addo led government to be sincere to Ghanaians.
According to him, the president has failed to deliver and is making matters worse by insisting that he will fulfill all his promises before the end of his tenure.
“The Nana Addo government keeps increasing the expectations of the Ghanaian by insisting on honoring their promises of one district - one factory, one village - one dam, which is very ambitious but unattainable within four years. I will advise the president to be honest with Ghanaians and tell us how he has been faced with reality upon assuming office and stop raising expectations by insisting on honoring his promises” he said.
Mr. Jinapor lamented on the practice where persons raid government installations and private properties in the name of protecting state assets, describing it as a “worrying trend” which “is gradually becoming institutionalized”.
Some New Patriotic Party (NPP) youth have been on rampage after President Akufo-Addo was declared winner of the 2016 presidential poll. These attacks were repeated after the inauguration of the President on January 7. Toll booths, state institutions, toilet facilities, among others were seized in some areas in the country, and some public workers driven out of their offices and warned never to return.
Jinapor asserts that the practice is a threat to Ghana’s democracy and ought to be tackled.
Assessing the Free SHS program, the legislator admitted that it was a good policy and must be supported by all.
“I propose a National stakeholder meeting on how to finance the free SHS policy” he said.
Jinapor was speaking at a one-day public discussion on Nana-Addo’s one year in government organized by CDD-Ghana in Accra.

AHHH YOUUU. APUUUTOOO. TWEAAAAAAA
When you listen to these ndc people it's like they have no shame to their defeat, you have destroyed everything in the country and when the people have booted you away you come back to accuse others of your evil deeds that have resulted in this hardship. Ndc came to meet a Ghana among the lower middle income group with much much money in the coffers, what they did was to create l00ot and share, false judgement debts and each one for himself game was played in Ghana and they behave like they are happy with the mess they caused to this nation. Ndc should be the last people to talk in Ghana. Jinapo, did you apologize to Ghanaians for the mess you caused?have you apologize for the lost of over $5 billion to Dubai, did you apologize for the dumsor which caused so many businesses to fold up? Have you apologized for promising 200 community day SHS which only 25 was built? Have you apologized to the good people of Ghana the atrocities meted to them especially by Naaba and Eric Opoku in the BA and the Fulani menace in Agogo and Afram plains and other parts of Ghana?you people have no shame. We can go on and on what ndc did to Ghanaians and they think the good people are as f0000lish aa their footsoldiers so can come out with any nonse*se for us to take. If things are still not as expected it's because ndc destroyed the system and correcting takes time but INSHA ALLAH things will improve drastically for Ghanaians to be relieved from the slavery and hardship that the ndc sent them. Thank God the 54% voters have never regretted but the few who are going to vote for the ndc in 2020 are crying but who cares about an ndc weeping? Ndc is no option for Ghana, the bad of the NPP is the best of the ndc, and the evil of the NPP is the angel of the ndc so we will go for the evil NPP than the angel ndc. Kai!
This Jinapor guy and his NDC must first apologize to Ghanaians for taking us through 3 years of hard DUMSOR.... The special prosecutor is coming for you to account for your share of the r.o.t.ten AMERI deal.....
