National Vice Chairperson of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Anita De-Soso is begging former President Jerry John Rawlings to forgive the party for their behaviour towards him.
Delivering a speech at the 39th anniversary of June 4th uprising held at the Madina Social Welfare School Park in Accra, Anita De-SoSo recounted the help that Mr. Rawlings has done her.
Calling Mr. Rawlings her "dad", the NDC National Vice Chairperson narrated to the gathering that the former President and founder of the party took good care of her and assisted her to gain her position in the party.
She therefore believed she has shown gross ingratitude Mr. Rawlings and going down on her knees asking for his forgiveness, this is what she had to say to him;
"He has taken care of me. And he always advised me; be bold enough. Speak the truth no matter what and this was what have led me to this position. So, I'll take this opportunity on behalf of the party to kneel before my dad, please forgive us. Let's come together to build this country".

check the meaning of the words used as bowing in the bible and you will see that all the words translated as bowing means bowing either in the form of kneeling, bowing with face touching the ground or bowing in the form of lying prostrate on the ground. it must be noted that bowing is those context do not mean worship but rather respect, humility, act of deep regret. when you seriously offend you father, wont just stand and say i am sorry daddy. but you bow in the form of kneeling. @Re Paa Osei:@Agama Lizard. I agree with you that we must check their character. But the fact remains that the elderly need our respect even if they sway from good conducts. If our father are not having Good Moral or ethical standards. it never mean that when we offend them or we feel we have offended to highest degree them we should take not bow or kneel as our humble and respectful apology. FOR JGEE 1 . There are a number of different terms used in Hebrew to describe bodily postures of respect. ברך is used to denote kneeling. כרע can be used of bowing, crouching, or kneeling. שׁחח implies lowering one’s body by bending down in some way. קדד is used of bowing one’s head or the upper part of one’s body. קדד is always followed in the Hebrew Bible by the verb חוה. In the Hishtafel stem חוה indicates a form of prostration. This usually involved either kneeling then bowing one’s head forward to face the ground, or kneeling then lowering the part of the body which is above the knees fully forward so as to lie with one’s body totally flat against the ground. The idioms נפל על פנים and נפל על אפים (to fall on one’s face) are also used to denote prostration. It is true that the Bible teaches that the one true God alone is to be worshiped. Nevertheless, there are examples of godly people in the Bible bowing down to humans. While negotiating the purchase of a burial plot for his family, Abraham bowed (חוה) to the local Hittite people on two occasions (Gen 23:7, 12). Joseph bowed down (חוה) to his father, Jacob, just before Jacob blessed Joseph’s sons, Ephraim and Manasseh (Gen 48:12). When Moses met his father-in-law in the vicinity of Mount Sinai after the exodus, he bowed down (חוה) and kissed him (Exod 18:7). Ruth, thankful at Boaz’s kindness, bowed down (נפל על פנים plus חוה) with her face towards the ground (Ruth 2:10). A similar action was exhibited by David (נפל על אפים plus חוה) when saying goodbye to Jonathon (1 Sam 20:41). David also bowed down (קדד plus חוה) to Saul when he greeted him after sparing his life (1 Sam 24:8). Abigail bowed down (נפל על פנים plus חוה) to the ground when greeting David (1 Sam 25:23). Queen Bathsheba bowed down (קדד plus חוה) to King David (1 Kgs 1:16). The prophet Nathan also bowed down (חוה) to King David (1 Kgs 1:23). God made David’s enemies bow at his feet (Ps 18:39 [MT Ps 18:40]). King Solomon also greeted his mother, Bathsheba, by bowing down (חוה) to her (1 Kgs 2:19). In 2 Kgs 1:13 a pious military commander bowed down (כרע) to the prophet Elijah. There are also verses in the Bible that indicate that humans bowing before other humans is appropriate or expected. Isaac’s mistaken blessing of Jacob pictures peoples bowing down (חוה) to him (Gen 27:29). Jacob’s blessing foresaw the other tribes bowing down (חוה) to Judah (Gen 49:8). In Ps 45:11 the wife of the king of Israel is instructed to bow down (חוה) to the king. According to Prov 14:19, the wicked will bow down (שׁחח) before the good. Israel’s ultimate victory over her enemies is also pictured in terms of people and kings and queens of the other nations coming and bowing down (חוה) to the people of Israel (Isa 45:14; 49:23). The sons of Israel’s oppressors are spoken of as coming to bow down (שׁחח plus חוה) at their feet.
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BOWING AND KNEELLING.IF YOU WATCH THE VIDEO,ANITA DE SOSO KNELT BEFORE RAWLINGS WHICH WAS AN ACT OF WORSHIP.RAWLINGS IS JUST MERE MORTAL BEING.
Culture is not static, it is dynamic and changes with time, our association with other cultures and best practices which improve our standard of living as civilized people who are not living in a vacuum. Therefore, do not let us hide behind the folly culture, tradition and religion and compromise our dignity for creating Overlords who are self-centered, arrogant and extravagant in the midst of blatant poverty of their citizenry. We have to have a critical look at the quality or the caliber of the Overlords we kneeled before them at that time, the positives and negatives we learned from them. For me as an individual, it would have made sense to kneel before Sir Agyemang Prempeh I, because he did not have the benefit of Education in the real sense of today's facility of formal education but he was one of those who contributed to the establishment of University of Ghana at Legon. There is nowhere I had read that he acquired personal mansions and also not had been accountable to his people for the education fund he had raised for the benefit of his 'POOR SUBJECTS' Please time has changed and modernity is key, otherwise, we will unconsciously or consciously create our own slave masters. And mind you if we consciously do that then we haven't made good use of both formal and informal education which is immensely at our disposal at present digital age and Democracy.
Is bowing to a human being permissible for a Christian? There are some verses of the Bible that on the surface might suggest that we should bow to no one except God. The second commandment reads: “You shall not bow down (חוה) to [images] or serve them, for I, Yahweh, am a jealous God” (Deut 5:9). We also have examples of particular people in the Bible who request that they not be bowed down to. When Cornelius bowed down to Peter, Peter told him to stand up on the basis of the fact that Peter himself was merely human (Acts 10:25–26). A number of angels also appear in the book of Revelation, requesting that the Apostle John abstain from bowing down to them (Rev 19:10; 22:8–9). In conclusion, the biblical prohibition against bowing only applies to the situation of bowing down to worship or show respect to false gods or images. But where the purpose is to express respect or submission to individual human beings who in a position of authority (such as kings, prophets, or parents), then the Bible treats bowing in such a situation as being an appropriate action for believers to engage in.
Without the three of Taaka, Tiika, and Gangale, NDC can never come back to power. If you doubt, go ask CPP. If Rawlings goes with his Taaka; Mahama with his Tiika and others with their Gangale, NDC cannot come to power. It is only by pooling the three together, De Soso calling Rawlings Daddy is only a sign of respect which he rejected, probably because he does not deserve it after all. Come to think of it, who should he be bitter with if not his wife, who was not there at all. Is Rawlings an angel? Is his wife an angel? So what are we talking about. Better forgive and unite because it is only in unity that there is going to be victory.
EVEN THE ANGELS OF GOD DO NOT ACCEPT TO BE WORSHIPPED HOW MUCH MORE A MERE MORTAL BEING. WE GIVE IN TO THIS CULTURAL THING TOO MUCH HENCE THE AFFLUENT TRAMPLE ON THE WEEK.ANITA DE-SOSO AND HER TOGOLESE COLLEAGUES WILL WORSHIP RAWLINGS AS THEIR god WHY, BECAUSE ITS ONLY IN GHANA THEY COULD ARCHIVE SUCH HEIGHTS THROUGH THEIR BROTHER RAWLINGS ADVENTURE IN COUP D'ETATS. OF COURSE SHE WILL DARINGLY REFER TO RAWLINGS AS HER DARLING FATHER BECAUSE SHE KNOWS RAWLINGS CAN SPEW LIES TO THE IGNORANTTTTT IN OUR MIST TO HELP THEM CAPTURE POWER IN 2020. GHANAIANS MUST BEWARE! RAWLINGS HAVE TAKEN US FAR TOO LONG FOR A RIDE.I BLAME KUFFOUR.IF HE HAD CHARGED RAWLINGS FOR GENOCIDE ABOUT THE 250 PEOPLE KILLED AND BURIED BY RAWLINGS IN ACHIMOTA FOREST,RAWLINGS WILL NOT BE STANDING THERE TO CELEBRATE HIS JUNE 4 ATROCITIES. ONLY IN GHANA.THE DEAD CANNOT DEFEND ITS SELF BUT WAIT IN SILENCE.TIME ALONE WILL TELL.
Now, I think Kwaku Baako and those who believe kneeling down to beg the elderly was wrong must come again. Anita did what is culturally or traditionally right by kneeling to beg in the Ghanaian context. I do not understand why people will lambaste a King or whatever His title may be, if people kneel down to beg before him. I think Kwaku Baako and those that believe in America's Philosophy should continue to believe because we are under democracy. But the humble people of Ghana will not reject our cultural and traditional identity and embrace the western ideology. I beg Kwaku Baako to Change His name if he does not believe in Ghanaian Traditions and culture. Because His name Kwaku Baako is also part of Ghanaian culture.
Mahama and his people think they can use Rawlings to search for POWER and dump him Again.Please not this time. Rawlings needs his party back.We need Mrs Rawlings not MAHAMA and Co.Anita stop BLEACHING because it can KILL.#STOPBLEACHINGNOW
If your Togolese father has gone missing, please go and find him, he is doing farm labourer at Lamikara in Sokode. Agyeei kokokoko. Rawlings's children were properly brought up, they do not insults. When was the last time you heard from his children talking about politics. The only one in politics is polite and humble woman.Anita De-souza you can go to hell.
they just want him to campaign for them. but i trust papa j, he will only do so if its not mahama. papa j will never campaign for mahama.even if they succeed in charming him to campaign for mahama he will still campaign against him on his own platform. so they better not try it.
