Some irate supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have allegedly injured a cameraman of the Multimedia Group in an attempt to stop the commissioning of a Polyclinic at Ajumako in the Central region.
The cameraman who was there to cover the event together with the award-winning journalist, Seth Kwame Boateng, sustained the injury on his forehead during the attack.
According to Kwame Boateng, the NDC members claim the erstwhile Mahama administration built the clinic thus will not allow the New Patriotic Party government to reap where they have not sown.
In spite of pleas from their Member of Parliament, Ato Forson, to allow the event to proceed, the irate youth ignored him.
They started pelting stones at the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman Manu, chiefs of the area and other invited guests at the event.
Seth Kwame Boateng said but for the intervention of the police, the situation would have been worse.

Now Fantis too have joined the bandwagon of hooliganism. I am not supprised one bit. Go to the area and see school dropouts, tramadol abusers, teenage pregnancies among others are so prevalent. Loose MP.
Come quick! Report on this one as well! Chop chop!
Uncivilised ani-ma-ls.What kind of country is this?I assure those misguided elements in the NDC that the funds used to start those projects are not part of the funds stolen by John Mahama. These projects were executed by government of Ghana funds.See why these people are resisting the freeSHS programme? When a greater number of the denizens are educated nobody will be convinced to go out and do such mischief.
Am highly disappointed in you guys, does the money used for the project belongs to Mahama. Lets grow up a bit after all its one Ghana
VERY BIG SHAME TO THE MINISTER AND AKUFO ADO TO ALLOW THEMSELVES TO BE MISLED BY THE DCE/REGIONAL MINISTER THERE. THAT PROJECT HAS BEEN COMMISSION LONG TIME WHY NOW BEEN COMMISSION AGAIN? ASK AKUFOR ADO WHETHER JDM HAS BEEN INVITED? RAT PRESIDENT.
let's stop these kind of illiteracy behaviour and fight for proper reasons, does the clinic belong to formal president Mahama and his ndc. have you forgotten that when late Mills came most of the projects that he commission and even gave the power to Mahama to commission was the then past government, when you intend politicizing every national project how will we go forward as country. NDC leadership and supporters talking each and everyday that Nana Addo has abandon all Mahama project to rot and now their working on them too, you have turn to the other side.
They clashed with NPP supporters and throwing of stones started from both sides. Peacefm stop the mischief.
just bragging, if you're man enough just try it!Rebel Leader Suman, show your face and identity if you're a man. NDC is no longer in power ooo, overwhelmingly voted out of power, you're there in your corner just bragging. Identify yourself and see who rules.
If you have a bunch of ***barred word*** illiterates who think their political party is important than their country's development, then we really have a serious problem to deal with as a nation.
