Some 94 Members of Parliament have reaffirmed their support for John Dramani Mahama.
This comes hours after the former president declared his intention to contest the flagbearership race of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Reports of these MPs who were in favour of John Mahama emerged in July; however, the list never came out.
In a statement issued today, the 94 MPs expressed "profound gratitude to His Excellency, John Dramani Mahama for hearkening to the cries of our Constituents which we presented to him when we met him four (4) months ago”
They have therefore promised to support the former President "with their expertise, knowledge and personal resources".
Attached is the statement including the full list of the 94 MPs

God punish
These NPP guys will never learn, you should know that Ghanaian s voters are not in your pockets, you will see what will happen in 2020 if you think the old man can sleep and use only so-called free SHS to win elections. There is always first time, and John Mahama will prove it.Where is the so called economist Bawumia? see where the Dollar is today.
The question I have asked is there no decent credible people in the NDC party who can stand and bring some credibility to the NDC party ?why on earth does these NDC kleptomaniac party think anybody in their right mind will go vote to elect Jon Mahama as President again !!!maybe it is not impossible but very rare besides PM Mathiar of malaysia was re-elected but the difference is thay pm mathiar has credibility to rule ; Jon mahama is plain incompetent and is in politics to amass wealth for his family.
First and foremost, I would like to thank former President Mahama for granting my greatest heart desire and responding to the hapless clarion call of these 94 vision-less and de-lusioned MP's who think the sovereign state of Ghana is like Auntie Muni's waakye bowl. I continue to pray for JDM to tower over the other candidates contesting him for the flag bearer slot. After the 2020 pools JDM would wish he had been a little wiser to have lived the rest of his life quietly with his family and enjoy the spoils he amassed during his service in Government up to the highest office of the land, because it will happen in his time and he will live to witness that the 44.4% he acquired during the 2016 pools was NO MISTAKE! Ghanaian's don't want him. Period!!!
