General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, has accused the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo of being one of the major culprits in the Dagbon Chieftaincy conflict.
According to him, President Akufo-Addo failed to bring peace during his tenure as Attorney General in the erstwhile President John Agyekum Kufuor regime.
Speaking on Okay FM's Ade Akye Abia programme, he indicted President Akufo-Addo of fuelling the conflict because of some of his acts of omission and commission.
"When he was an Attorney General, he was not able to bring peace to the area, and all his actions during the peace process at that time further fuelled the conflict. He is the major culprit . . . He failed woefully at that the time.
"He's done nothing to bring peace in Dagbon and nobody should credit him for any such thing," he maintained.

mosquito comments.No common sense
Mosquito brain at work. So when NDC was in power for 8 years and they failed to resolve the conflict does it mean we should blame the A-Gs of the time as being the cause of the conflict. Our party leadership have now become very confused and irrational.
This is how people who calls themselves peaceful behaves. This is a clear stupidity1 and unguided comment meant to destroy the peace of Dagbon. Just because you couldn’t bring the peace means you should destroy it by hook or crooked. The good Lord is watching you and will ensure peace for the people of Dagbon and all the enemies of peace will be put to shame including Asiedu Nketia.
This one is called skin pain. You are just jealous of the prez for having some credit for what has been achieved in Dagbon, and so you are looking for something to accuse the man of. He was AG at the time; was he directly responsible for the peace in the area? Was he the Interior minister or defence minister or he was the regional minister at the time? Just grow up and give credit where its due so we can take you serious when you criticize or condemn. Cheap politician
