The NPP Loyal Ladies, a vibrant female group in the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has describe the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as a terrorist organisation over the recent leaked tape of the party's Chairman, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo.
According to them they were shock to the bone for a Chairman of an opposition political party to advocate vigilantism, kidnapping, murder, threaten women, children and clergy which speaks volumes about the morality of a party that wishes to regain power by any means necessary.
In a statement they call on Ghanaians and the world to reclassify the National Democratic Congress as a terrorist organization.
Read Full Statement below;
The recent leak of a tape recording in which the NDC Chairman, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, advocates violence against perceived enemies, underlines the true nature of his political party. Violence is in the NDC’s DNA; it is their tradition. A cursory examination of our nation’s history would make manifest its violent roots, as evidenced by its penchant for staging coups, kidnappings, executions and numerous other human rights abuses. It was a movement born in violence and one that meted out violence to whoever opposed it. This modus operandi continues this day.
That a Chairman of the opposition political party can advocate vigilantism, kidnapping, murder, threaten women, children and clergy speaks volumes about the morality of a party that wishes to regain power by any means necessary. As an organisation, the NDC is violent from the top down – from the Chairman to its foot soldiers. It is rather telling that the Chairman, someone who sits at the top of its political hierarchy, can commandeer hooligans to travel from Tamale to Accra, to mete out acts of downright thuggery. It is a matter that should concern all right-thinking and peace-loving Ghanaians.
However, in the eyes of the NDC, the controversy resulting from the tape is a storm in a teacup, a trifle. Even the NDC’s Deputy-Director of Communication, Kwaku Boahen, retorted, “Ofosu Ampofo was addressing NDC members so what did you expect?”.
It appears that the gravity of the situation is beyond the grasp of the NDC. Even the former president, John Mahama, invoked supporters to “dismiss it [the tape] with the contempt it deserves.” Indeed the NDC flagbearer has also said on video that "no one can beat the NDC when it comes to unleashing violence’’ The fact that the they can treat use of violence with such levity, tells one all that is needed to know about the NDC. They are incorrigibly violent. It is a problem that they should deal with, both with urgency and alacrity. Yet they chose to bury their heads in the sand publicly and endorse violence privately. That Samuel Ofosu Ampofo can claim, “The NDC believes in the rule of law and we are Democrats”, is most galling indeed. The gumption to make such a claim is most startling in light of the contents of the tape.
Ofosu-Ampofo’s comments were recorded at an internal party meeting with party bigwigs present. It is rather instructive that said comments received applause from the attendees. This goes to show that violence is, indeed, entrenched right at the top of the party. The fact that threats to the safety of the EC Chairwoman, Jean Mensa, are met with approval is an eye-opener into the violent, misogynistic and murky world of the NDC. Only a weak and insecure man would make threats against a woman. It appears that the NDC hierarchy is full of such weak men.
The contents of the tape were only made public by chance. It makes one wonder what is the full extent of the nefarious activities? What do the Ghanaian public not know about?
The NDC would like to pass itself off as respectable political organisation. However, the fact that it is prepared to use violence to achieve its aims, in order to intimidate and coerce, indicates it is nothing but a hotbed of thugs, reprobates and vigilantes. In fact, their methods, by the strictest definition of the term, are tantamount to terrorism. Ghanaians would be right to conclude that the NDC as an entity is an insidious, malignant menace to society.
We therefore call on Ghanaians and indeed the world to reclassify the National Democratic Congress as a terrorist organization.

NDC IS INDEED A TERRORIST ORGANIZATION, I AGREE. FROM NOW ON WE WILL LABEL THEM SO.
I support you call for re-branding of NDC to a terrorist group. The only problem is that you fell short of suggesting their new group name. From their inception in June 4 1979 blood shed and instilling of fear, panic and terror has been their hallmark. If the two most important leaders, Mahama and Bra Sammy are both blood suckkeers then what do you expect from the group?
"'where do you think you will get eveN 500,000 votes to cancel your dificit of 1 million votes to even minimize the NPP vote margin?". You are very myopic and hollow in your thinking. The 1 million votes that you were referring to does it come from only NPP supporters? Commonsense should tell you the same 1 million Ghanaians can easily decide not to vote for NPP especially with this harsh economic condition the people are going through.
Nash, come 2020 ndc will win with your mouth or deeds? what are you coming to do, what's your policy? name one intervention that ndc brought to help the people? you are hallucinating! tell me which side or area in Ghana have you identified as going for the ndc? so you call your rented crowd who follow your dumb flagbearer who was a mistake president and kicked out a win win? hahaha! we saw more than we are seeing now in 2016 but you lost so you will lose big time ! where do you think you will get eveN 500,000 votes to cancel your dificit of 1 million votes to even minimize the NPP vote margin? are you people alright? if it didn't work for you in power how can it work for you in opposition? you joking! ndc is KAPUT !
keep dreaming wai NDC Nash. by the time you wake up NPP will be in it second term in Gov't .
***barred word*** ladies.tag npp as terrorist party cos come rain or shine jm2020 is possible in shaa Allah
You people are right. The ndc is the brain behind current kidnapping cases be witnessed. They must be quizzed to produce the people. ndc, wicked all the way. I fear them like kakai.
I support you 1000%. They are ISIS and only in politics to CREATE, LOOT & SHARE. NOTHING GOOD to offer Ghana. Mahama demonstrated it by giving 58% of Ghana's bauxite to his brother under the cover of darkness (just as he was leaving office on 29th December after he lost elections)! WICKED man!
