The introduction of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy and other positive programmes will help the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to retain political power in 2020.
Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka ‘Wontumi,’ the Ashanti Regional NPP Chairman, who made the disclosure, stated that “victory in 2020 is a done deal for the NPP.”
According to him, the current Akufo-Addo administration has done enough in just two years to win the next general elections.
Wontumi was of the view that many Ghanaians would vote for the NPP in 2020 due to the implementation of the free SHS programme.
“We shall not approach the 2020 elections with empty promises and blatant lies, as the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has been doing lately.
“The NPP will easily retain political power in 2020 and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s positive policies like the free SHS will be our trump card.”
According to him, the Akufo-Addo administration has a lot of positive policies and programmes to campaign to win massive votes.
“The president’s policies are visible and every Ghanaian can see and testify. We have the free SHS, which is the biggest of the positive policies and programmes so far.
“We also have the ‘One District, One Factory,’ ‘Planting for Food and Jobs.’ We have restored nursing and teacher trainee allowances and several other positive programmes.”
Wontumi appealed to Ghanaians to renew the mandate of the NPP in 2020.

Hahahah, go to the ground and ask people and they will tell you their miseries. As Free SHS, people are spending more than they have. It is people don't value what education is who would be embracing this shoddy initiative. Even common Academic Reports on students work have not be given to parents to determine if their ward's studies are progressing. Many more students were not prepared for school therefore brought nothing to support their upkeep. This has resulted in they stealing other students' belongings. Serious people who value education will not blink with what is going on. Above all teachers are not teaching properly. They bring textbooks only to read out to students without any explanations. Will see the real effects after 3 years. Unless of course, government asks WAEC to relax things. Eventually it will translate at the tertiary level. Time will tell.
IF 2020 IS A DONE DEAL FOR NPP THEN THERE'S NO NEED TO APPEAL TO THE ELECTORATES
