The Minority Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has chastised President Akufo-Addo for not following due process with his recent announcement of a visa waiver with Jamaica.
"Parliament is not an extension of the President's office. The President cannot be dictating to Parliament and even giving timelines. He should not also think Parliament is rubberstamp...the President erred when he gave those assurances; it can even be described as false hope. He knows better..." he said in an interview on Neat FM

THIS ABLAKWA MAN JUST WANTS TO BE HEARD. AFTER ALL WHO IS THE PRESIDENT OF GHANA. IF THE PRESIDENT HAS SPOKEN IT IS OBVIOUS THE NEEDFUL WILL BE DONE. GHANA IS NOT AN AUTOCRATIC STATE. THERE IS ALWAYS RULES AND LAWS THE GOVERN THE STATE. OR, IS IT THAT YOU ALWAYS WANT TO BE HEARD FROM THE EMPTY BARRELL.
This always quick to run to the media, when you were benefiting from judgement debts you never engaged the media. If the president says he has waived visa for the Jamaicans it does not mean it is automatic. It is only kid of minds like Ablakwa will assume that. The due processes will be followed.Think beyond scoring political point. It is an implied consent that parliament will have to pass law. Please grow up and be mature. If you want to remain a baby with sharp tooth then continue with your childish statements and analysis.
