The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, Ms Lydia Seyram Alhassan, has presented 11 KIA Morning saloon cars to the 11 electoral areas in the constituency.
The vehicles are to be used as commercial public transport or Uber service vehicles to generate revenue for the various electoral areas.
It will also create employment for persons with driving competencies within the constituency.
Beneficiary electoral areas
The beneficiary electoral areas are Roman Ridge, Christian Village, East Legon, Legon A, Legon B, and Mempeasem.
The rest are Okponglo, Dzorwulu, Abelenkpe, West Lands and Tesano.
At a ceremony to hand over the vehicles, Ms Alhassan said as an entrepreneur, she was committed to bringing her entrepreneurship skills to bear so that the teeming youth in the constituency could be employed.
The presentation of the vehicles, she said, was part of a number of models aimed at creating more employment opportunities within the constituency.
The Ayawaso West Wuogon Entrepreneurship Scheme
Named the “Ayawaso West Wuogon Entrepreneurship Scheme”, she said there were models such as the Uber Driving Model, Credit Union and others for ladies.
“We are rolling out makeup, interior decoration, catering, sewing and fashion designing and many other programmes under the Youth Entrepreneurship Schemes, and this is just the beginning,” she pointed out.
Ms Alhassan, who succeeded her late husband, the former MP for the constituency, Mr Emmanuel Kyeremanten Agyarko, said: “This is not an NPP thing.
This is for the whole constituency. I am inviting all the political parties and our members to join me in this cause. It is going to develop our constituency; it is going to develop our electoral areas.
This is not just for me or for the NPP. Please come and join me and let us work together.”
She also stated she desired that “the people will at least recognise what we are doing and I am asking them to come on board to help push the cause.”

Yes, Yaa Konadu especially and Yaa Konama. Hatred for the Npp party and MP for Trobu Amasaman. Kwame Amo is somehow better. Watch these women not these ladies.
A women of substance a caring mother. My constituency is blessed to have a person like you to stand in for us.
These Cars were donated to the constituency way back two weeks ago even before the NDC elected candidate V8.
Get your head check wai AMA it seem your it's full of worms, Npp is not like that of your CR000ki$h party NDC .
First time with Peace FM. For two days continuous; yesterday morning (26/8/19)and today's morning news at 6, there was no mention of Akufo Addo's name by both newscasters, perhaps because bootlickers like Kwame Amoo and Nana Yaa Konadu. I pray that you still get your stipends from your pay masters because Peacefmonline has managed to put two uselessss audios about their nightmare president Mahama on this partisan website. No wonder peacefmonline viewership has reduced drastically of late and even those visiting this sight hardly comment on the one-sided stories posted on the site.
Pr333333sure paaaa nie, 11 kia saloon cars. Just a common aspirants election and see how people are panicking, masre saaaaaa
Please stop the Tramadol and get your head right. The vehicles are not for free, those who can use it as taxi cab or Uber to use to generate income. This should tell you it is like work and pay basis. The source of the money can be traced when you interact with MP and you find nothing more than a loan from the bank.
She couldn't even smile because she is being forced to fake things to promote npp agenda.
These npp guys are full of fraud. Mp donates 11 Kia saloon cars to npp supporters in ayawaso and this is being portrayed and achievement for the people of ayawaso west wagon. How does Kia saloon cars benefit all the constituents of the electoral area. If he has donated 11 sanitation trucks, 11 free yuton buses for public transportation or build some community clinic or center or betterstill provide a building to house school children then that could have been a great achievement but to go and donate Kia saloon cars for your party faithfuls, you expect educated people of ayawaso west wagon to vote you to parliament again on the basis of deception and fraud?
Interesting times ahead; 11 KIA Salon cars for Ayawaso electoral areas? And nobody demands to know the source of the 11 cars. Yet the shambolic group of Kennedy Agyepong (LOKA) has vowed to campaign against John Dumelo on his V8 vehicle; an accusation the NPP has not been able to prosecute. Something wrong in our political system and structure. Anyway, John Dumelo is winning.
