A member of the Communication team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) claims the ruling government is backing the Electoral Commission (EC) because they are afraid of losing the upcoming parliamentary and presidential election in December.
According to him, the Akufo-Addo led government has performed abysmally and if the register is not changed, they will lose; hence the decision for the compilation of a new voters’ register.
“NPP has failed as a government so they want to use all means to win the elections. They know if an election is held today, they will lose,” Fred Agbenyo opined while contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's morning show ‘Kokrokoo’, Tuesday.

Then Efo Agbenyo, I also think NDC is afraid it will lose the election with a change of register hence the insistence the old is maintained. What at all is in having equity by all of us starting afresh? I smell an umbrella with a vulture's head in the old register.
SURE,THAT IS WHY THEY WANT NEW REGISTER AND THEY WILL LOSE WITH IT TOO
At times let be little sensible and logical in our deliberation. Does it mean you were afraid that's why you compile a new register for 2012?
