Renowned Journalist and Editor-in-chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr is probably beaming with smiles or perhaps laughing uproariously as an Accra High Court ruling today went in his favour.
Kweku Baako won a defamatory suit against the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong.
According to the High Court, the Assin Central MP has been given 30 days to retract and apologies three times on the platforms he made those defamatory statements against Mr. Kweku Baako.
Kweku Baako who was seeking reliefs including general damages in the sum of GH₵25million against Mr Agyapong was awarded a sum of Ghc 100,000 and Ghc 30,000 as cost of legal expenses by the High Court.
If you may recall Abdul Malik Kweku Baako Jnr in October 2018, filed a GH¢25 million defamation suit against the outspoken legislator for some alleged defamatory comments against him on various medai platforms.
Reacting to the ruling in a text on Peace FM's morning show 'Kokrokoo' and read out by host Kwami Sefa Kayi, Kweku Baako Jnr. expressed satisfaction that "the law has spoken and it spoke loud and clear in a court of competent jurisdiction" and that 'facts and evidence' won over 'ugly noises and malicious allegations'.
According to him, "I am happy, I chose to vindicate my integrity in the appropriate forum, a court of law not on radio, television or social media which is also an available option in a democratic space. There is no oxygen of life for ugly noises and allegations borne out of allegations in the court of law; there facts and evidence speak, not ugly noises and malicious allegations".

Your time will come Kwaku baako. Today you are happy, remember tomorrow. Ken forever.
Empty vessels are the noisiest. If everyone had the wherewithal to sue joke of an MP, he would long have withheld his horses. His talking though, has been an asset to the NPP as his cacophony has wide appeal among the illiterate who think noise is sense. Only in Ghana.
Please Mr.Baako , I need small portion of the amount to sort myself out. Seriously in need.
Massa, the law can set you free but....... You and your people want to gag Ken, but Ken will still reign, and be relevant in the society. His popularity will never go down.
