Veteran Journalist, Kweku Baako Jnr says even though the Auditor-General excelled in the discharge of his duties, his public posturing fell short.
Kweku Baako, who often speaks highly of Mr Daniel Domelovo said “there’s a deficit in his temperament and public posturing”.
Proceed on accumulated leave
President Akufo-Addo in a statement has directed the Auditor-General to proceed on his accumulated leave effective today, Wednesday, July 1.
The statement signed by the Communications Director at the Jubilee House, Eugene Arhin, stated that Mr Domelovo must take his accumulated leave of 123 working days.
However, some suspect witch-hunting.
Watch Kweku Baako description of the Auditor-General's public posturing.
Strange Attitude
Kweku Baako who was speaking in a panel discussion on Peace FM morning show 'Kokrokoo' said even though he an admirer of the AG, he needs to 'call a spade a spade' because his 'bestie' started behaving 'strange' at a point.
"you work with people...while I'm for him in principle and to a large extent I will back him, areas he's falling short, we must have the courage to point it out. For instance, he wanted to go on leave and in his letter, he asked the deputy Auditor General to act in his absence but added that the deputy cannot represent him at any board meeting. If you read the Audit Service Act, what he was saying was not correct and when you call his attention to it he doesn't listen...that I find difficult and strange..." he indicated.

mr baako will always defend the indefensible i know that whatsoever npp does he is ok with it but we shall see very soon we will know if this position that he has taken will continue but all what this leave thing means is that the npp is very corrupt they cannot stand invistigations by the auditor general but surely they will account one day
so this auditor general actually wrote to his deputy not to represent him at board meetings though he is on leave and yet the ndc lawyers and labour consultants didn't see anything wrong with that.? the breed called ndc are strange indeed
@Teddy, are you suggesting that Pro. Atta Mills booting out of Agyeman Dua from Audit office was good but that of DOMELEVO is witch hunting? what kind of logic is this? this can only come out of NDC PERSON. Let us call a spade a spade. if what ATTA MILLS did is good, then what AKUFO ADDO has done too is good. And if what AKUFO ADDO has done is bad, let us condemn what ATTA MILLS did.
Very surprised to see my beloved EC producing and issuing Laminated paper as a permanent voter card in this 21st century. The quality of Ghana Voter card currently being issued represents the QUALITY of your Torch bearers in helm of affairs. USING FORK AND TABLE KNIFE as the sofiscated device for card production. I guess the fork and knives being used by EC AS A DEVICE IS COSTING GHANAIAN TAX PAYER 200 MILLION DOLLARS? SURE, THIS WAS PROCUREMENT BY MR AGYENIM BOATENG OF PROCUREMENT AUTHORITY. .NHIL, GHANA CARD,RIDGE HOSPITAL CARD, UG STUDENT CARD, UCC CARD OF EVEN 2000 IS FAR BETTER THAN THE QUALITY OF CARDS BEING ISSUED UNDER THE SO CALLED DIGITAL MAN. VOTE WISELY TO CHANGE THE WICKED AND VINDICTIVE OLD MAN.
Tell Ogyam Kwaku Baako; it was an open secret that he was a very good friend of the former Auditor-General, Dua Agyeman who's also now the Chairman of the Audit Service Board. He was frequently seen parading the corridors at the Hqrs block in the wee hours of day and always in the company of Dua Agyeman. He defended Dua Agyeman's hatchet admin in the Audit Service daily on radio, television and in his bogus newspaper. It was reported in a newspaper how Dua Agyeman was subtly scheming to be reinstated as Auditor-General after he was booted out of office by the late Prof Mills. Only heavens can tell how he became the current Chairman of the Audit Service Board - all bcoz of his subtle influence on this gov't. No wonder Domelevo never kowtowed to his whims and caprices at board meetings which degenerated into bitter coflicts. Today he has succeeded in influencing the removal of the Auditor-General. JDM will be back. Time Will Tell Soon. No wonder Baako has joined his old friend in this crusade. Partners in Crime"
