The flagbearer of the Nationl Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama has been asked to render and retract unreservedly for his Akyem Sakawa innuendo
The demonstrators clad in red and black hoisted several placards with various inscriptions such as “divisive NDC, JM you have lost our respect, we Akyems will no longer stand for this, Let’s reject JM and NDC and its bigotry”.
In a report filed by Michael Akrofi, Peace FM correspondent in the Eastern Region, the demonstrators claim they will advise themselves if the apology is not forthcoming.
John Mahama courted controversy when he shared an article written by MP for Bolgatanga Central, Isaac Adongo, captioned “Agyapa Royalties fraud is the last straw: The Akyem sakawa boys and grandpas must go”

I think apology isn't the solution. I think ndc should be ostracized from Akyem. Simple.
Can someone please tell the president to cool down the rising tension that is slowly building up through the infamous statement retweet by the former president. Most Ghanaians are not happy with the comments so I will please ask in humility that the president should speak to the Akyems to cease fire and not to demand any apology from the former president. They are not going to get any apology anyway. Etnocentric politics is his last chance to revive his sinking campaign.
