The Member of Parliament for North Tongu constituency in the Volta Region, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has described as 'disappointing' President Akufo-Addo's 2021 State of the Nation Address (SONA).
President Akufo-Addo on Tuesday delivered his last SONA to the 7th Parliament of the 4th Republic.
The President who will soon end his first term and begin a new one from January 7, in his address touched on the economy, galamsey, election 2020 among others.
Reacting to this, Okudzeto Ablakwa wondered why the President did not touch on the 'barbaric killings' during the December 7 polls.
"Not a word of sympathy from President Akufo-Addo on the barbaric killings of 8 defenseless Ghanaians during the December 7, 2020 elections. Even more depressing is his refusal to institute investigations and sanction the mindless perpetrators.
Absolutely disappointing address" he wrote on his facebook page.

His excellency the president should have acknowledged the unfortunate deaths and sent condolences to the affected families. I'm a fan of this sympathetic president. It would have been seen as a way of reducing the tension in our great land.
why should he
Yes, the president will not waste his precious time on irresponsible talks emanating from NDC leadership to their supporters to pour out in their numbers to demonstrate unlawfully .Again, wise president will not approve/endorse any ballot boxes snatching spree from NDC camp and as a result shot death . God is good . NDC ;leadership s should elevate their political communications with their supporters so as avoid the definition by Ablakwa as barbaric
