Renowned Journalist and the Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has taken a swipe at Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia over the new taxes announced in the 2021 budget statement of the ruling NPP government.

What has happened to the production? Look at these new taxes which have been introduced. What happened to the beautiful theory about production as a means of mobilizing resources?"

@Ofa Atta. I blame the journalists of the country of which he is a member. Then, where do we go? All this is the manifestation of the need for compulsory quality education up to secondary school so that when he and his cohort spews out such ill-fated remarks, it will be treated with the contempt it deserves. Also, in my estimation mainly based on the naked biaseness of Mr. Pratt against the ruling government, the government should treat every comment of his with the CONTEWMT it deserves.
This PRATTLE PRATT! What’s wrong with him?
Mr. Pratt is only noted for criticism. He will not provide any solution to the problem of the topic. This is very bad of him. Mr. Pratt, you don"t have any idea of solving problems of governing a country. You a just noted for criticising without providing solution. This is what you do all the time.
Sometimes when I read Mr. Pratt's comments or opinions about certain issues, I'm strongly inclined to believe that Mr. Pratt does not deserve to be accorded the recognization as a renowned journalist. His lack of intellectual honesty and credibility are so much in spades that you doubt if he has any at all. You see, I believe that if one sets to refute a policy statement one should not do so in isolation. Then, we have long term policies like education or one district one factory, only to mention a few, which takes time before it becomes impactful. The Government of which the Vice President is a part is rununning policies geared to impact an economy fit to stand on her own beyond aid. That notwithstanding, such policies are being run concurrently with the fight against the pandemic. And if at this material time, the level of production is not able to off-set the crisis of the day, it doesn't mean education and 1D1F policies are failure and should be a discredit on the Vice Preident Dr. Bawumia. Indeed, only a paid-press journalist would make such an assertion.
