Kwamena Duncan, a former Central Regional Minister, is unhappy with the way Speaker Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin dressed to Parliament on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 when the House resumed proceedings.
Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin dressed like a King as he arrayed himself in golden regalia over African cloth.
Although the Speaker has won the hearts of many Ghanaians who see his dressing reflective of the Ghanaian rich culture, Kwamena Duncan is the least enthused about how Rt. Hon. Bagbin portrayed himself.
According to him, the Speaker shouldn't have worn a crown in the House as, to him, it breached culture.
''I agree that we must promote our culture, but he is a linguist and a linguist doesn't wear a crown. I've never seen a linguist anywhere with a crown and big copper chains that could weigh about 50 kilograms on the scale. So, whilst we endorse promotion of our culture, it must be promoted in the right way," he told Nana Yaw Kesseh on Peace FM's ''Kokrokoo''.

Dear Mr Duncan, you seem to be full of hatred. You should be appreciative the Honourable speaker did not steal state money to buy gold as others do but instead using coper ornaments. What does it concern you if Honourable speaker wears wooden or brass ornaments? I can see you are graduating from village political commentator to self -styled attention seeker. Grow up my brother and give a constructive criticism. Thank you
Is that the reason he is looking for military protection?
Y2n see wo hene n'a kofa ahen ky3 sh3 aaa, obiara nsoah wo. Bagbin, suffers from 1nfe-rioty complex. It is as simple as that. He has taken arroganc--e of power to a new level. In his l1ttle mind he thinks he is king.
THE PREMISE FOR THE MOMO TAX IS WRONG AND DESTINED FOR A FAILURE? THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE DIAGNOISIZATION OF MOMO INDUSTRY FOR THE PURPOSES CREATING A THRESHLOD FOR THOSE WHO WILL DEPOSIT LESS THAN GH100 DAILY IS PROBLEMATIC. LET THE MINISTER OF FINANCE EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ON HOW TO TRACK LEGITIMATE CITIZENS WITHOUT A MOBILE PHONE WHO USED MERCHANT TO SEND GH100 DAILY TO HIS SICK MOM IN A VILLAGE FOR EXEMPTION? THE WRONG ASSUMPTION THAT EVERYONE WHO USED MOMO WILL HAVE A PERSONAL MOBILE PHONE AND THE TRANSFERS WILL BE DONE ON HIS PHONE ONLY TO ASCERTAIN HIS DAILY TRANSFERS THRESHOLD WHEN HE HAS REACHED THE FIRST GH100. THE REALITY IS THAT A LARGE CHUNK OF USERS OF MOMO FOR DAILY TRANSACTIONS DO NOT HAVE PERSONAL PHONE, THEY RESORT TO MERCHANT FOR TRANSFERS. LET ME FIND OUT HOW THE MINISTER OF FINANCE WILL TRACK THE VERY FIRST DAILY GH100 FOR AN INDIVIDUAL WITHOUT A PHONE WHO USED MERCHANT TO TRANSFER FOR EXEMPTION who are already poor to afford a personal phone? WILL I BE TAXED IF I DEPOSIT PHYSICAL MONEY AT MERCHANT ON MY WALLETT WHICH IS CURRENTLY FREE?
