"The dollar has rather arrested him, and so we are looking for him. We can’t find him" mocks former President John Dramani Mahama.
Political pundits have questioned the loud silence of Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia following the current economic challenges facing the country.
They seem to be surprised that Dr Bawumia who was once outspoken when it comes to economic matters has all of a sudden gone silent.
Former President Mahama speaking at the launch of a mobile app for the Tertiary Education Institutions Network (TEIN), at the University for Professional Studies in Accra on Monday has also added his voice to calls asking "where's Bawumia"?
“Daily price increases, fuel price adjustments and a nose-diving currency which has rather arrested the person who said he will arrest it. The dollar has rather arrested him. So we are looking for him we can’t find him. We will ask the IGP if he has the key so that we could find where our Vice President was,” he said.

Oh J. M . How can you be looking for some one who has been arrested? Just asking.
In the absence of an informed political message, Vice President Bawumia was just too clever to fall prey to the trivialities and illiterate propaganda remarks that had become rampantly popular political tools to sway the voters. The spokesperson for the vice president has intellectually and extensively spoken about the economy. It appears the NDC is deliberately running away from any intellectual discourse because it lacks the competence to debate it. I believe the NDC would rather act maliciously than argue constructively about any difficult national issues. Then, the NPP administration admits that the present situation of the economy is challenging, but they are resolved to bring it back to good shape. As a result, in the spirit of constructive political party participation in a democratic dispensation, it is only proper for the opposition, the NDC, to come up with better alternatives. The good people of Ghana deserve better and the NDC should give us a break from that mischief.
JM, that Dr Bawumia contributed immensely to your heavy defeat in 2016 has hurt you so much you can't even sleep. You remember "the incompetent one wants to come back...to cause more damage..." Please, wise up!!
