The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has disclosed how they will save the economy when they come to power.
National Communications Officer of the party, Sammy Gyamfi speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Hello FM said they will reduce importation.
"The sustainable way is to change the fundamental structure of the economy and reduce importation through industrialization and not sloganeering. This will reduce the pressure on the cedi…the cedi will continue to depreciate but you can manage it if you are able to go to the international capital market to borrow some dollars and bring it into the economy…"

Class one economic analysis !!!!! Apuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu NDC can never be a better alternative. Mere talk and noise making
The NDC says they will reduce importation through industrialization but they couldn’t even establish one factory after 27 years in government. In 8 years, they couldn’t operationalize the Komenda sugar factory. If the argument is about only industrialization, then the NPP should continue governing because they have established and operationalized more than 50 factories within this 8 years.
I just can't fathom why the NDC would choose Mahama over Dr. Duffuor as their candidate for the presidential race in 2024. Mahama is always doing propaganda instead of proposing better solutions. Then, if you listen to Dr. Duffuor when he speaks on issues, he is candid and proposes genuine alternative solutions, making his contributions a tool to convince Ghanaians that he is capable of offering alternative solutions rather than propagating to make cheap political points. Thus, Ghanaians are aware that the government has economic changelleges but that they will profess to entrust solutions to the competence of the NDC-I will strongly bet to differ. In other words, at this point, an untested new strong youthfull third force is very likely and appropriate to break the seemingly inevitable NPP-NDC imposition.
Mahama was 100% right when tagged some Ghanaians as having short memory else why should they call Nana Addo to sack the finance minister who was adjudged Africa best finance minister in May 2018.
Talk is cheap. Massa! you were in power before oo! and Ghanains saw what you did to this country. High interest rate, dumsor for years, freeze on employment just to mention a few. Anyway Ghanaians are awake and this time round do have short memory as your JDM said when in office.
