Addressing a Press Conference on Tuesday, Member of Parliament for Asante Akyem North, Lawyer Andy Appiah Kubi said the two need to be fired over their failure in dealing with the current economic challenges.
Failure to do this, they will stage a boycott, according to a report filed by Peace FM’s Parliamentary correspondent, Emmanuel Akorli.
Findings made by Emmanuel Akorli indicated that about 80 majority members have signed a petition calling for the dismissal of the two.

The national executive members should for once let the president know that his actions and inactions are dwindling the fortunes of the NPP now and into the future. If those close to him are not telling him the truth because of fear of losing their positions, as national executives you were equally elected just as the president so be bold to tell him the truth. Remember he's left with some 2 years to go never to come again. If you allow him to get away without letting him know the party's disappointed in him, he will go and leave a broken NPP party. Currently the party even though in government is in tatters. The president has succeeded in giving the NDC a field day. You just can't tell how he thinks. Former president kufour knew majority of the youth did not see the Busia regime so he did all he could to market the NPP , the fact that Akuffo Addo led with 49% in the 2008 elections is enough indication the NPP was still the popular choice after 8 years in power thanks to Kufuor. Today the level of disappointment among party supporters is unheard of. Why will any president sacrifice a whole government and party just because of one person, why? If Ken Ofori atta has not made enough money in 6 years, i doubt whether 2 years will do the trick. If not why can't you replace him. Why should it take your own MP's to compel you to do the needful? Why? One keeps wondering whether the Akuffo Addo we heard of and voted for is same person we are currently seeing. Maybe we trusted him more than he deserved. He's a big disappointment to say the least. The majority MP's have the support of well meaning NPP supporters and Ghanaians in general, hope they will stamp their feet on the ground if not their own political future is st stake, you can't like someone more than yourself. What Akuffo Addo is gaining is for his wife and children not for NPP . He has almost brought the party to its knees, a very vibrant and colorful NPP is suddenly becoming a laughing stock under his watch. That should not be allowed to happen.
