Former Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Catherine Ablema Afeku believes there is no ‘better’ candidate in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) that can win the 2024 presidential election for the party than Alan Kyeremanteng.
He described him (Alan) as a “unifier” among other NPP flagbearers whose time is now to lead the party to the next election.
“Ghanaians already know him (Alan Kyeremanteng), he has served for years. NPP is a traditional party and Alan has been there from the era of Adu Boahen, Kufuor and now President Akufo-Addo. The formula has not changed. This is his time,” she said.
Catherine Ablema Afeku who is also the spokesperson for the Alan campaign team in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show, 'Ghana Montie' said it will be easier for the NPP to sell Mr Kyeremanteng to the electorates.
“We need a candidate that is marketable and can canvas almost two million votes for the party,” she noted.
Adding that, “If we really want to make history by 'breaking the 8', then we need a candidate like Alan who is a unifier. If we want power, Alan is the surest bet.”
